Dont think Lia by himself covers enough ground defensively

We might like to see Waffles play the role, but all depends on what Ricki tells the players. He gave Brockie that role last time, so you would guess he would do that again.

We really should be adapting our formation to the players we have available, rather than trying to shoehorn players into one.

^SO MUCH THIS!

All right, getting on plane soon. Probably won't be able to make The Pub but see you at game. :)

I'm thinking we're really gonna come out firing on Sunday. Backing us to put away a few goals and give the season a rev up.

Having seen the weather forecast for Wellington for tomorrows game I think we will bolt in.

Rain and gale force winds?  Summer football, the Sydney boys have no chance.

RBB making themselves at home in the W-League Sydney Derby.

If they have traveling fans tomorrow, really hope they don't do anything stupid like that.

watching highlights, I thought we actually played well in Melbourne. Just that Melbourne are a better team slightly, and also had a bit of luck. We played a high tempo pressing game. Was really impressed with Lochy's run and ball to Brockie at the end.

Parrt of Lochy's problem is that no-one since Smeltz has been able to put away an aerial cross, so he's lost a partner in crime, even worse without Brown.  Also Lochy seemed to combine well with Daniel.

Yeh- Herbert lost the bottle early on in the season and went back to the tried and true of blocking the midfield.

What I want to know is who is our go-to player, when the chips are down? In Melbourne it seemed like Totori. How well did he link with Brockie and Huysegems in the first half? didn't see it. Before it was Ifill. It doesn't seem to be something Brockie can do, boss a game. Pops up with brilliance, but hasn't seemed to be the one to put the foot on the ball and dig us out of a whole or lead a fight back. Totori has finished off a couple of games for us- a bit like Caceres or others used to...and I think he's potentially a starter who comes off at 55 or 60 minutes.

We need two players- one as skilled as Sanchez, one as tough as Manny and both as fit as Brown. Then I think we've almost got our squad covered, esp if all the injury scares break down or get suspended. Well Nix fess up- we didn't have enough players this season.

How was Lindsay? Any reason why Fenton and Boyd have been getting so much game time and he's had nothing? Only saw his shot which seemed well worked and on target- a pre-requisite for scoring.

Why? I dont see how it'll have any effect on us as a club, or as spectators, or otherwise

Security tends to over react to things, even if its not the Fever Zone causing the issue. No doubt there would be some blow back from anything like this.

But in saying that, it was probably wrong for me to tar those that travel with the same brush as the idiots in that photo. Lighting flares in a total fire ban is just moronic.

Game Day. Fire Up!! (In a non flare or bush fire starting method ofc)

Huge game for us today. SWS will be a tough nut to crack. See Oz betting odds pick us to finish bottom of the league winner at $26. And that's where we'll probably be if we lose to SWS today. Think Sydney will scrape past Heart. The first 30 v Victory was the best we've played away from home this season, so critical we repeat that but score early. Otherwise SWS will probably pick us off later on.

Got up this morning....opened the curtains...looked outside and saw its wet, strong wind and low grey cloud...can't even see across the city. Forecast is for gales and cloud and late rain. There goes a couple of thousand spectators. Lots of families will go Nah!...We are not tasking our wee children out in this. FFS how unlucky is this....kids free on a Sunday afternoon could have been a bumper crowd. I reckon over the history of the Nix the bad weather has cost us probably tens of thousands of spectators.

The Westy boys won't like these conditions.....time for our lads to front up.  COYN!

It's hot and sunny in Auckland (again). What do you expect? Wellington is exposed to the volatile Tasman sea between two land masses.

Pity your city councillors didn't have the foresight of Dunedin and put a roof on the stadium. I imagine constant bad weather has cost you at least 2000 - 3000 spectators per game.

Lets hope the conditions undermine WSW.
