i don't think greenacre is too much of a loss to be honest(he has done nothing for us all season),and if we can utalise ball to feet to ifill and from there link up bertos and quick balls through to costa we can do some damage.but i don't think our central midfielders are creative enough,i like lia in a holding role a battler but get rid of brown and sign a real midfielder thats what the team needs

Get rid of the goalscoring midfielder that has got himself into more scoring positions than anyone else in the side, our only striker is no loss at all, just play Ifill to feet for him to link up with the wingers when he barely ever plays back to goal...

Many people questioned Greenacre's contribution when in the squad but at least they all now see how badly we miss him.

This comment and the thing about Brown isn't just opinion, it's plain wrong.

comming from tim browns #1 fan.sorry i dissed him matey. i don't think his absence is playing a part in that at all.

but seriously i think you will find that if the players catch on and play well this combination will work better.

watching ifill struggle to control even 1 aimless high ball up front the last few weeks, after seeing greeny do it so often sums up alot for me. the only genuine striker we have

well u said we dont have a wrthy midfielder so scratch that idea. costa and greeny up front is the best option. Ifill never plays as well upfront and says himself he prefers playing wide, bertos and costa have less goals between them than greeny by himself?

So much wrong with this post

Apparently Greenacre isn't a loss but our huge drop in form has coincided with him getting injured

I'm not opposed to Bertos being played as a striker or as a very much attacking-minded midfielder.  He has pace that we need there.  He hasn't scored many and he's only a better shooter than Mickey Ferrante but if he's up there all the time he could bang a few in.

Remember when he charged through the middle of the Newcastle defence in round one with one attackers on each side.  That was such a brilliant move.  The shot was average and was lucky to go in, but that was really great stuff.

Now that I could buy.  Would give Costa a chance to prove himself with a strong(ish) on the ball striker to run off.

Was Greenie not there also?

Lots of pace in Adelaide's team - will have to be wary of that. We always struggle with it, it seems.

Matthew Leckie is the BIG danger in this AU side.

Agreed - Barbiero aint bad either. Cassio always seems to play well against us as well.

Leckie of course is the stand out. Unlike other young players (see: Kruse, Dugandzic) he hasn't faded away after a couple of great games. He's consistantly Adelaide's most exciting player.
