dude you're rarely right these days.

been thinking this the last week
infact only remember 1 being right this season
But...but...but....Ok, my mojo is waining with the team's performance. Rest assured though, as we get better on the pitch the mojo will return. I've got 4 results wrong in two years, by the way- not too bad really I reckon. We are the Phoenix, we can beat anyone!By the way , I was right about the crowd!

I see you joined feb 2010, we have no proof prior to this that your predictions have been spot on.

I note you joined July 2009, and I'm not aware you've predicted bugger all........

that's true, but I don't want to tempt fate.

Anyway, good luck Nix!  I can't watch you but I hope to get text updates from a friend.

The Jets are not good enough to beat us at home.
well let's hope so because we're playing them at home twice before the season is out (remember Sat's game was supposed to have been in ChCh).not convinced Brown is captain material. why not Ifill?
Greenacre and Brown are the two current vice captains, and Brown is Ricki's All Whites vice captain, so not much chance of anyone but TB taking the armband.Ifill has captained Barbados before, so is an option, Siggy doesn't strike me as the type to calmly represent the team when talking to the ref.

actually, now that you say that, your completely right. Siggy probably wouldn't calmly talk to the ref.. weren't 2 or 3 of his 6 yellow cards for talking back too much?
ehhh... I rekon Greenie would make a better captain than Brown too, Brownie wouldn't calmly approach the ref either, he's always talking back too much!

Greeny and Browny talk back to the refs too. Think Greeny got one in ChCh for arguing as soon as he came on.

But if you're captain then maybe you're a bit more allowed to talk to the refs. Doubt that though.

I don't mind who it is. Brownt might step it up if he's wearing the armband

IMO Brown will be captain for this game. He's been vice captain since the start of the Nix and IIRC he was captain for the All Whites when Nelsen wasn't availiable for games.

is rushing the perenial underperformer leo bertos straight back into the team really the right message to send? playing him and daniel at the same time on the field is like playing with 10 men!

Agree......they BOTH only put in 50% at best...= 10....would not have either of them in the starting 11

4-4-2, yayyyyy.

I think we'll roll out like this....

                  Vuko
   Hearfield   Siggy North    Muscat
             Lia       Brown
     Rojas                      Bertos
            Ifill    Greenacre

Bench: BigMac (on at 80), Daniel, Musa, Crowther

Such a huge game and I really hope Marco has a blinder and spurs Leo on to pull something out of the hat. The reason i'd have Greenie in there over BigMac is purely experience and leadership, although BigMac's aerial game could be key for the wingers wipping in crosses.

I think your 100% right, If we are behind or even attacking sub to be Rojas/leo for Dmac, Ifil to shift to Midfield. If winning and lead if defensible Musa for Lia, Muscat into midfield.

On an unrelated matter does any one else think we haven't seen enough of Toto? I can only remember a few brief cameos off the bench.
And why can't he speak any english yet!

Any way Riki is finally playing 4-4-2, I think It'll pay off and their thin squad will play in our favor.
We win 3-1. First half goal to Ifil to be leveled by Jessic before half time, We come out swinging after the break with an early goal for Brown and another around 60 for Rojas before being subbed off.
Heard it here first, take it to the TAB.

Think this 442 may be the start of our return to form/ I know removing MooseCat from the middle of the park seems silly, but if it means us getting to play a 442 then it may pay off.

Not sure if Ifill is the best support for greeny up top as he often doesn't really link with him. But this is the way we will win. And having DMac come on and pushing Ifill wide will work well too.

Come on boys.

I've got a good feeling bout this one.
Could be another 6-0. Or maybe 7/

Ifill will tear their defense a new ass hole. Booyah

Rojas's first start! We need an "official" chant for him to welcome him into the ring of fire in style.
Even if it ends up as a ring of drizzle.
