That's a distant memory now, though, unfortunately.

Good to here Mystery Morrisons comments this morning, basically said he was bored sh*tless when watching the rugby this morning (as was I....mind....we were playing England) and if you want to watch entering sport head down to the ring as he did on Friday night.

Followed on with saying how the rugby folk he'd spoken to actually understood football but didn't really understand the rules of their own game - was a good morning for the nix!

Awesome game on Friday night! On the edge of my seat for last 15 mins or so. Said to my bro we should try and get into the YF zone for a game (got season tix in aisle 24).

On Mystery's comments - I recorded the AB game and started watching it at the same time the replay on Sky was starting. I fast forwarded thru all the stoppages for injuries, setting up lineouts and scrums etc. and I finished watching the game as it was half time on the replay on Sky! Shows you how much actual play there is compared to football.

Perth are pretty decent at home. I would be very disappointed if we didn't beat them at home though.

if bl00dy Perth hadnt thrown away that win in the weekend we'd look even better on the table. Last 30 seconds of the game and they let one thru!

Amazing game from the Nix friday night. Best they've played me thinks, and against the top team (currently).
3 in a row! Dear to dream?

Good game, your lot totally deserved to win. Dominated the midfield and used it well, didn't give our strikers a look in.
Congrates to C-Diddy for not getting stabbed at The Charles Dickens Tavern (although you lose points for remaining shirted after 80mins...), a feat made all the more worthy when you consider that I saw at least one partricularly nasty member of our lunatic fringe there...I'm not kidding dude, the guy's a psycho, well done!

Sounded amazing as usual, kutgw.

Sack Merrick. Why'd we let Fred go? Smelz should've got a second yellow. C-Diddy didn't flash his man cans etc.

Not as much as you'll miss Shane "wtf is up with my hair" Shhmeltz...

Anyway, in happier news, Collingwood have drafted a kid called Steele Sidebottom! That'll keep me in material for years.

Best game I have seen the Phoenix play in a very long time. The noise from the YF was great, and the chanting on the way out was awesome.  Memorable sight of the night was the Victory players on the ground after the final whistle having a sook.

Part that I didn't enjoy - people throwing rubbish around, and getting hit by their flying projectiles.
While it's good sport to cheer and make a lot of noise, throwing debris around the place and at other people is not something I come to expect from the YF zone.

And just a thought for when we win the next home game... might pay to do the "We'll be coming..." chant on the way out of the stadium to the railyards.

eh im not a fan of singing on concourse every week. Would seem to pre-meditated...

Seemed more like a spur of the moment think since everyone was excited about such a huge win

But meh

Allegedly

Completely agree. I'd rather it not become a tradition - it wouldn't be the same if it were done after a scrappy win a la Newcastle, or an easy win a la Perth's matches here last season. I'd rather it be a spur of the moment thing inspired by only the most special of matches. Melbourne last week, along with Sydney this year, are the only matches off the top of my head that I'd see being worthy of it (First match against Melbourne would have been too were it not the first match imo)

That being said, I'm all in favour of the Phoenix putting in performances that are worthy of such celebration under such standards
