Ladies and gentlemen, four words about that game: GOT OUT OF JAIL.

Well done Pasty for riding the laws of the game right to their limit. I bet Vuko would have played it safe and given away the goal. Fantastic work from Leo, and later from Pav.

Don't know if Pav is the solution up front...but Big Mac isn't and Greenie on his own isn't much of an idea either...

another two points lost.  We are playing like a team of part timers

Another afternoon of total frustration. I thought that second half might be season-defining but we just continue to stagger on without direction.

Entertaining though, considering the piss poor conditions.

We finally get 100% out of Leo and RH pulls him off

Thought it was a great escape act...!

Ifills lack of single handedly winning games for us as per our game plan is starting to be a bit of a worry- Leo was dynamite at the start of the second half.

So the game in Palmy not considered a home game by FFA?

Dont think there are any solutions...more like going through the motions now for rest of season as I cant see where the spark wil come from to liven it up..and we can forget about getting anything away from home unless its against Sydney.  I think back to 2 seasosn ago when we had Daniel and Bertos marauding down the flanks at will....

Yes it is. It is a bit of a Clayton's record as they're all saying undefeated at the 1 venue.... Its a pretty good unbeaten run [admittedly] but a nothing record really.

What's with New Zealand football and being so excited about being undefeated if most of the games are draws? We didn't need to give away that stupid penalty early on. Ifill played much better today, but when the ball goes past him he just stands still and puts his hands on his head, needs to chase the ball a bit more. Pav injected more than Lindsay Lohan on a Saturday night, easily ahead of Big Mac in the pecking order. Would even like to see him start along side Greenie with Ifill behind them or in Hearfields position. One thing I've learnt in the past two weeks is that Jeremy Brockie is miles ahead of Hearfield, and would easily start for us.Luis Garcia2010-10-17 19:35:49

The Nix have had horrible luck with weather this season. Bad weather is always going to reduce the gate by at least 2000 paying fans, plus wind and/or rain inevitably buggers up the game quality-wise.

Well you can stick 3-4-3 right up your arse that was a sh*te 1st half, we were much better once we went back to 4-4-2
So glad for the draw we were our own worst enemy at times
But we have the record so stoked with that

It was bucketing down in the hours leading up to the game - I was surprised we managed 5k.

Random thoughts;

1. We all know Greeny runs his bollocks off but he does a lot more than that - he wins far more in the air than someone 5ft nothing has a right to do, he is very very good at holding the ball and has great vision and passing accuracy. His goal showed the potential he has to score if we had a play maker who can reward his runs.

2. Three at the back - epic fail. Bertos looked completely lost and Sigmund is far too slow to be picking up wingers.

3. Note to Ricki - out of Brown, Lia, Daniel, Toto, Diego, Ward you can keep two for next season - rest gone.

4. Dear Terry - I know times are hard but could we please sign Elliottt.

5. Bertos with testicles is a very good player.

6. Ifill - redirect  some of the energy you expend in flapping your arms around in to your legs (p.s. still my favourite player (after Manny)).

7. Both their goals dumb - dumb foul and sh*t defending.

8. Pasty

9. Herbert - first time I can recall you taking the initiative with subs

10. Global warming - yeah right.

P.S. I would trade, in a heart beat, the undefeated record at the RoF for a couple of decent performances and good wins.

Agree with most of these. RE number 3. I'd keep Brown and Ward, but Daniel and Lia make good squad players. Goodbye Diego and Toto.

Great strike from Bertos but he really needs to get confidence and shoot more!

was it a pen? hard to tell from the zone

heffernan (dirty bastard from way back) was obviously gonna chop Leo - should have been at least a yellow

would a decent ref have given their handball at about 35 mins??

ok moving on from the ref

it was nice when Ricki remembered that Leo is a winger at half time (Leo looked really unsure about getting forward as a wing back)

Pav might come good - fitness and/or confidence might need work if that late shot is an indicator

I didn't see Ward as a liability (but his subbing might have been to do with defensive cover in a 4-4-2)

Now we can stop thinking about that bloody record and trade some draws for wins and losses 3 and zero is more use than 1 and 1 though I'd be ok with 3 and 3 !

Clear penalty, no contact with the ball at all. Not a lot in handball, may have come off the chest.

Do you guys reckon the ball hit Paston's arm as he ran out of the area late in the game?

No complaints about the pen, except it didn't need to happen
Agree he should have seen yellow
And no i didn't see any evidence of the alleged hand ball
