This maybe seen as a small thing, but I'm really dissappointed that there is nothing but a discount voucher at the store inckluded with this seasons pass.

Season 1, we were given a tirade of small token things, inaugral badge, keyrings wristbads etc

Season 2, very similar, a dated badge, wrist bands etc

Season 3, zip! except a spend $50 get $25 off, this is fine, cos I'l be buying something from the store eventually, but I really like having a badge or keyring that commemorates the fact that I was a supporter/member for this season.

A scummy piece of paper just doesn't cut it the mustard for me - whilst I'm stoked we've managed to receive the tickets early as it sux that we don't have any of the small things that get noticed.

Surely this can be rectified??????

In pure monetary terms - what we received in the previous packs probably didn't add up to $25 anyway.

But I do agree - it isn't quite the same not getting a wee memento of you commitment to membership such as a keyring (or Sydney FC in S2 did members caps)

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

I think it's early to know whether or not we're gonna get some perks with our memberships or not. we may get some free stuff by bringing our membership at the nix store like last year

A tad disappointed, especially as our two "bonus" games are away and gonna cost us even more to go to (Esp the CHCH one). If they had been at the stadium, we would have felt like we were on a bargain. But now one feels rather lightweight.

Was quite disapointed as well. Really liked those stickers from S1 (even if they ratted out pretty quick) I Still got the tatters on my Bag.

But ah Well, worse things could happen. Ill live with it.

I probably will spend at least $50 in store - and so will the other members of the family - and I am happy to choose what I want my discount to go towards. And yeah, I did like the pin, wristbands, car stickers etc but I'm sure they probably weren't worth more than $25 so no complaints here.

I'd rather have the $25 off. Although then I guess we got 10% off with our card last year anyway, so really it's more like $10 off (for a shirt).

there wouldn't be if things hadn't changed. I realise their is a recession and cost cutting is key, but as so many have pointed out the cost of a badge etc really isn't huge, so why have those of us who had planned to collect them each year missed out. The badges we received last season had "member" on the back, so they were specially made for members, I can't see anything like that being made this season and sold in the store - what I disappointing about is not the amount given to us, its simply that we have nothing that says thanks for being a member this year that we can keep! unless you want to laminate your voucher, whic I expect will be taken from us when we purchase at the store.

Its about memories, I wasnt to have something that reminds me and everyone I talk to that I was a member each year for the Nix. I have an inaurgal membership badge, a season two badge, and now I have nothing for season three - its not huge but it feels kind of empty. I'm sure I'll not care when I'm at the game but when the end ofthe season comes by I know I'll look at my two pins and key rings from the previous seasons and there will be something missing.

It's definately a shame that the only memento will be the card itself, but surely it's not too late.

2 extra games = $60 or so... im perfectly happy with that despite the travel cost's

I am supporting the club, paid my membership fee and got a piece of plastic toi say I did, I'll also pay to travel to Palmy to see the game up there, maybe to Chch.

Its the little things that people remember. Sure a badge and a keyring may only be a small thing, but that's the stuff that people keep and remember, not a $25 voucher that you use once and lose.

I don't know, I can kind of see your points, but am not too worried. Last year I didn't actually receive my season ticket until the fourth home game, so by that stage was too frustrated about it all to even bother trekking to the store and pick up the badges etc. This year I'm far more happy to have it in my hand from day 1 than worry about all the other stuff.
Agree some form of gesture would be nice though.

I got a free hat with my Victory membership because i've been a member for a couple of years. Even though I wont wear it,  it's a good idea imo.

Which would you guys prefer, a Striker(s) who are capable of netting 15+ goals this season or something to hold your keys?

that's not the point, its not about finances or players etc, of course I'd rather have a key playmaker discovered before the new season starts, but that's what Ricki and Tony and co are doing right now. Its not their job to deal with membership packs.

This is directed at the Nix marketing crew whose sole responsibility is to look after and attract the fans, in my point of view and clearly a number of others, we would p[refer to have been given somethig to keep as a momento of our membership for 2009/10 instead of or with the $25 voucher.

Two separate issues, you cannot compare them...HN that's twice you've chipped in and agreed with an irrelevant contribution...

generic key rings and badges are hardly representative of being a member, which i believe is the point. last two years we got something non-members couldnt get.

If the striker is moire important (A seperate issue IMHO) then no fans should use their $25 discount voucher so that that money could be used to get one.

Yes Uber, I use my one and am damn proud it says "Member 2008/09" on the back

this is my point exactly!

If it came down to a choice between a strike who'd score goals etc and me getting a member's only badge or keyring then of course I'd take the striker...this is never going to eb the case though is it!

I understand its a nice touch to get a little keepsake but is it the reason you become a Season Ticket Holder? Surely in 10 years time (should we still have a Club to support) more people will remeber this season for what happened on the pitch rather than for what you had on your keys or were wearing on your head!

You got this year's membership at last year's prices. That's enough of a giveaway for me!

I'd rather save that $20+ than get a badge.

not that same old speel. 2 of those games are out of town. if that $20 covered travel and accomodation to both games i would rather have the deal also.

BUT THEY DONT!

its got tnothing to do with the prioce of the tickets, I think that's fine - it has nothing to do with the players that we will eventually get, this is simply to do with the little things that the club has done for the last two seasons and now have topped, they start something and then inexplicably changed it.

Current number of members = 1786 x $25* giveaways = $44650...
How many 15+ strikers does $44650 get?

*Used for simplicity, although consensus seems to be giveaways cost less.

Personally, I'm ambivalent. The tokens were nice and it is a shame to lose them, but I'm not too bothered. (On the overall scale of things, I would rather we played all our home games at home.)

What did we members get last year that non-members couldn't buy?
