Alex Smith Signing confirmed on three month injury replacement contract:

Not sure if it's "confirmed" confirmed, but for me (and maybe I'm too optimistic) but this seems like a very good piece of business. It's only three months, so we can check him out, and if he impresses like I think he might, we will be the first to lock him up on a longer deal.

Well if Smith doesn't make this weekend's game for WP v. Gold Coast the next chance isn't until 15th Jan, at Skilled Park again.. or 4th March here at the RoF ...if he stays that long.Shame that.Good to see him here though.All the best Smith!

Good on him. I haven't seen him play for Karori, so don't know what he is like. In that pre-season game he seemed a bit excited and out of place, but I guess that's only normal given his age. From that game I remember Pantelis scoring a beauty and Brian Bran impressing at CB. Shame he didn't sign..!
