The Prisoner.  Not the remake, the original.

The American Office is still pretty damn good.  I get the feeling there's a lot of snobbery amongst the British thinking their humour is far superior (everyone saying the American Office is garbage, some people having not seen it).

The British, though, fail to realize that such brilliance as the Simpsons, Family Guy, and King of the Hill are all made across the pond.

So, Paston needs a dose of both Offices, Simpsons, Family Guy, King of the Hill*, Blackadder, the Peter Serafinowicz Show, and Vinnie Jones Toughest Cops.

*I love how nothing happens on this show.  Standing round drinking all day.  So funny.

Get WPF to explain some of his stats to him. That should see him through to July at least

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

i have an English background so i find Ricky Gervais hilarious. Steve Carell on the other hand not so funny.

there are different types of comedy. IMO British humour is better.

Tis a bugger, we're lucky to have a quality keeper like Vukovic to come on.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I feel very sorry for Mark. If the clock could be somehow wound back I would gladly accept a 6-0 thrashing if it meant he avoided that awful injury.

Fingers crossed that maybe the damage is not as bad as reported.

I seriously doubt that. Theyre a bit sick in the head if theyre satisfied.

I think that an extreme statement to make!  There may well be people who dont particularly think Mark Paston is a great goalkeeper but the suggestion that they would enjoy him being injured and out for the season is a bit sick in itself

Normally they give the worst case, hopefully if we make the playoffs, he will be back.

I agree.
Paston is a bloody good keeper, and after he was taken off and the cameras were in the dressing room and I saw the agony on his face I felt a bit sick.
I wish him all the very best, but I doubt he will be back this season.

While its sad that he is injured, this could be a blessing in disguise for the phoenix, and vukovic who is a much better goalie

Is a myth, just like how apparently North was a much better CB than Siggy because he plays for the Socceroos.

Paston = Vukovic. Both have glaring weaknesses and strengths. (Vukovic lets lots of free kicks in on his left hand side and rushes out way too often. Paston punches too often and is prone to getting the wobbles every now and then)valeo2010-12-12 17:09:14

from the stuff article.

But a likely season-ending knee injury to All Whites goalkeeper Paston was a more significant blow to the Phoenix, with Fox Sports reporting the World Cup hero would probably be out for the rest of the season with a badly torn or even snapped anterior cruciate ligament.

I really don't get the Paston hate, I can think of very very few occasions where he's been directly at fault for letting in a goal.

Here's hoping has a quick recovery.

Time for Vukovich to step up now.

Anyone who has had a similar injury would have winced at that. I felt the pain. I wish Mark all the very best and speediest of recoveries but please do take your time to heal properly.

It was good sportsmanship by the other guy to immediately attend to him and then later go back to him a second time.

Paston - World Cup Legend, Phoenix Legend. He'll be back!

PS: Happy Birthday for tomorrow too Mark.

Eh, Moss was horrible at Melbourne and now he's probably the most in form keeper in the league.
