Actually he wasn't that bad.  The defence in front of him was sh*t and because he was a kiwi he was a scapegoat from the dimmer members of the Victory fan base.

I thought they were all dim.

Three for me, and two for them.

Sounds like a bit of sterotyping there, and a bit of hypocrisy.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

You're that Mariners fan aren't you? Or is that Midfielder? Sorry i have trouble distinguishing the two of you. You must understand, having experienced trouble distinguishing Switzerland and Germany.

I'm sure he was, but he bagged me for saying something similar on another thread.

You must be Irish?
I did't have a problem distinguishing countries, just thought the guy was a genuine Kraut.

Anyone who has had a similar injury would have winced at that. I felt the pain. I wish Mark all the very best and speediest of recoveries but please do take your time to heal properly.

It was good sportsmanship by the other guy to immediately attend to him and then later go back to him a second time.

Paston - World Cup Legend, Phoenix Legend. He'll be back!

PS: Happy Birthday for tomorrow too Mark.
Really felt sorry for Paston, looked incredibly painful.  Hope it's not career ending but at age 34 - it might be hard to come back from.    I saw Paston at a local playground with his energetic young son a couple of weeks ago as I too was doing the dad duties, so I guess the young lad will have to take it easy on his dad for a while.

While its sad that he is injured, this could be a blessing in disguise for the phoenix, and vukovic who is a much better goalie

Is a myth, just like how apparently North was a much better CB than Siggy because he plays for the Socceroos.

Paston = Vukovic. Both have glaring weaknesses and strengths. (Vukovic lets lots of free kicks in on his left hand side and rushes out way too often. Paston punches too often and is prone to getting the wobbles every now and then)

Paston didn't punch much, everytime he went to punch he either clean missed the ball or else it skimmed his knuckles

I would 100% call paston a puncher.

Lose one puncher in December and gain another one in January...

"I was enjoying playing and was keen to go for another year. That hasn't changed and while this is obviously very frustrating, it has been part of my career and I'm almost used to having to pick myself off the canvas again."

Sweet, he'll be back next season.

To be precise

a "depressed fracture of the tibial plateau".

In lay terms, the top of the tibea just below the knee on his right leg has been pushed down and needs to be nudged back up, which will happen when he undergoes surgery tomorrow.

Good luck for the op Pasty
