Can any youtube/video whiz do a collection of Ifill's goals for the Nix and set it to Tina Turner's "Simply the Best" song?

Without a doubt the best player to ever wear a Nix shirt. A great guy on the feild and even better off it Hope his academy and that all work out for him and that he puts a book out....

He's mentioned before on Twitter that he plans to write one

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

He mentioned it on In The Zone 98 too.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

A privilege to have seen him play. Still recall the disbelief of many of us after his first few games for us. As an aside my family was on the same plane as him when he went to the Allstars game. Often when I head off to games my grand daughter asks if im going to see Paul as he spent much of the flight playing games with her. It gets used far to often but he us a LEGEND

Can't really add anything to what's been already said by everyone else. If we ever build our own ground I hope there's a stand named after him

At least that would be likely to be off the pitch. I'd be concerned about the Ifill stand joinery.

Think you can measure a player's impact by the response they get from opposition fans. Lost count of the messages I've seen today for him from fans of other HAL clubs.

Sad to see you retire Paul,  I always hoped you would be back for the Nix next season.  I hope you continue to work with the club,  I think you are a fantastic ambassador.  Well done.

Watched Paul coaching his academy here in Nelson last night.  He's got the makings of a truely great coach.  The kids worship him - watch out for mini ifill's coming your way soon!

But why? That is where he sent the ball most of the time.

I wanted to "this" this post but every time I clicked the button I got an error message saying the change I made was rejected :/

Edit: but now it has worked apparently :)

I particularly love this part and it makes me laugh

"I missed another chance in extra-time before scoring one of my all-time favourite goals.

I decided to celebrate with the Yellow Fever and took off on a 100-yard dash towards them, only to realise that after 100 minutes of football I wasn't going to make it, and abandoned my plan at the halfway line and raised my arms instead."

So it's official, the "no cocks" policy was real. And it just officially died yesterday.

Nah, surely not. Vuko and Reddy stand up blokes! See how Reddy responded to the Fever jibes at Eden Park

Gao, he was supposedly a cock and he left quickly.

Reddy and Vuko are both slightly nuts - especially Reddy - but both were professional while playing for us.

I think it's more to do with how the player fits in with the team culture, not whether they dive/bobsled/sackwhack on the pitch. Although there was chat of him being disruptive in Newy, he probably won't be as much of a leader here and being mates with the captain is probably as good a character reference as you can get when it comes to fitting in.
