Phoenix Ownership - Rob says FTFFA (Part 1)
AUCKLAND New Zealand Football (NZF) would like to confirm it is not in a position to comment with regard to the current situation between the Wellington Phoenix and the Football Federation Australia (FFA) given the ongoing discussion that is occurring between these parties.
However, NZF is fully supportive of a viable and vibrant professional football franchise based in Wellington. Any discussions and actions that can give the club, the fans, and the people of Wellington and New Zealand the certainty required are welcomed.
NZF will issue a media statement upon receiving official notification of the outcome from the FFA.
As for the season itself, I've got my expectations well in check so anything more than the wooden spoon will be a bonus. No doubt all you rabid right wingers and psycho-social players will rage at me for being unambitious, but f**k it, even if we had recruited really well we don't have a divine right to win the league. There's only ten teams and guess what? Someone's going to come bottom. Bet the world doesn't stop though.
That is the issue for me right now. Terry holding on in the way he is, and having no money to spend, our chances of continuing our recent improvements are going down with him. I doubt that you would have had an outlook like that last year.
I want more than coming last this season, and if it means new owners coming in and spending some money, lets have them.
Well our Terry he runs the Phoenix
He runs pro football in the capital
He makes a lot of the fever happy, oh
He don't care about the debt at all
He's got a system they call leveraging
It keeps a lender waiting in a queue
But maybe pressure can make our Terry see
Sign three more players or were in the poo.
Gimme hope, O Terry
Hope, O Terry
Gimme hope, O Terry
'Fore the A-League come
Gimme hope, O Terry
Hope, O Terry
Hope before the A-League come

What a relief. If we were really in trouble, he'd be in baggage.
Ramming liberal dribble down your throat since 2009
This forum needs less angst and more Kate Bush threads
If I could touch your body
I know not everybody
Has got a body like you, mmm
But I've got to think twice
Before I give my heart away
And I know all the A-League games you play
Because I play them too
Oh but I
Need some time off from that emotion
Time to pick my heart up off the floor
Oh and when that love comes down
Without devotion
Well it takes a strong man baby
But I'm showing you the door

'Cause I gotta have faith
I gotta have faith
'Cause I gotta have faith, faith,
'cause I gotta have faith-a-faith-a-faith
Baby
I know you're asking me to stay
Say please, please, please don't go away
You say I'm giving you the blues
Maybe
You mean every word you say
Can't help but think of yesterday
And another who tied me down to loverboy rules
Before this river
Becomes an ocean
Before you throw my heart back on the floor
Oh oh baby I reconsider
My foolish notion
Well I need someone to hold me
But I'll wait for something more
Yes I've gotta have faith...
Mmm, I gotta have faith
'Cause I gotta have faith, faith, faith,
I gotta have faith-a-faith-a-faith
Before this river
Becomes an ocean
Before you throw my heart back on the floor
Oh oh baby I reconsider
My foolish notion
Well I need someone to hold me
But I'll wait for something more
Cuz I gotta have faith
Mmm I gotta have faith
Because I got to have faith-a-faith-a-faith
I gotta have faith-a-faith-a-faith
What a relief. If we were really in trouble, he'd be in baggage.
) The ongoing uncertainty is frustrating fans, with an online forum thread stretching to 95 pages on Yellow Fever's website as of last night.
I would be interested to know what % of the posts are actually angsty compared to posts having a lol at what is reported in their rag and other publications.

And read the ramblings on football by a half wit that might have watched a 1000 games but hasn't a f**king clue about football Terry Maddaford? According to Terry's logic, because I've eaten well over 1000 meals, I should be qualified to be a restaurant critic of the highest calibre or at the very least, a 3 star Michelin chef.
I'll take the Dom Post any day thanks. Even the NBR such is Terry Maddafords' numpty-ness.

Meanwhile, flamboyant property developer Terry Serepisos is poised to retain control of Wellington Phoenix, but advertising guru John Singleton is believed to have backed away from a takeover of Central Coast Mariners.
For months the financial predicament of the high-profile Serepisos has been headline news in his home town but, after a meeting with Football Federation Australia officials in Sydney on Monday, it seems certain he will continue to bankroll the club.
It's believed Serepisos - labouring under a debt of around $NZ200 million ($160.3 million) - has been able to refinance through Asian lenders, and is keen to breathe fresh life into the club.
At present, Wellington have just 17 contracted players, but it's likely the club will add more. Young triallists Cory Chettleburgh [uncontracted] and Bryan Bran [Oakleigh Cannons], and promising midfielder Peter Triantis [Sydney Olympic], are all in the mix - as soon as the necessary guarantees are in place by the end of this week. The Phoenix then hope to add an experienced foreign striker as their 20th player, in time for the season opener against Gold Coast United on October 9.
