What?
The money might come from FFA but if the Nix weren't there Nathan Burns wouldn't be getting any.

OK.

Would he be about 6' 1", bald and have a winey accent or am I getting confused with the Fox mouth piece or are they the same person?

Cunningham and Brockie probably would have taken up a decent chunk.

Q: Finally to on field matters - are you confident you can continue to improve next season, and hang onto your better players such as Burns and Bonevacia?
A: Yes, I think we can hang onto both. Ernie (Merrick) has built a good environment, and the players enjoy playing for him. The season finished on a disappointing note, but we are in a much better position that we were last year. Not just at senior level either - we have the reserve team, a flourishing academy, and we will continue to invest in that. In the meantime, there’s a couple of things to sort out - but long term, I believe there’s a huge amount we can continue to contribute towards the A-League.

Yes, Dome said that. 2B's theory, which this backs up, is that FFA is briefing the media against us as a negotiating tactic; they don't want us gone but they want us paying through the nose.

Dome did not say that, Morrison did.

Getting any what? Do you know something we don't?Glad we are providing a necessary service though.

Absolutely love this. Can't wait for the next Cockerill/Harper article where they ignore all of this and just rabbit on about the Nix being commercially naive.
He's an accounting marquee. Hence we pay his wage.
That's interesting considering we have always been told that we only have the cap.
I get the impression WelNix and Ernie decided they needed to stretch things when the likes of Burns, McGlinchey and Bonevacia became options.

Said that from the day all the hate started. We didn't negotiate the TV deal, the FFA did. I'd be very surprised, to say the least, if the NRL turn round to the Warriors and say "Okay, you guys go and organise the TV rights for showing games from our competition in New Zealand".
So all they'd be doing, by using the fact that they aren't happy with what they get as a stick to beat us with, is admitting that their business skills aren't what they should be. That argument is, and always has been, bollocks.
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Did you READ the interview quoted?
I made a comment on what was posted here. If what was actually said was different and I had read it, I wouldn't have asked the question here would I? Do you have anything helpful to add?
Nothing to do with Dome, it was an interview with Rob Morrison.
Yet Blew, Doloras and NapierPhoenix all managed to comment on it fairly strongly without apparently reading it LOL

I get Dome and Rob Morrison confused, is that such a big deal?

Was this you I saw yesterday D? Wasn't sure.

"At the end of the drive the lawmen arrive...
I'll take my chance because luck is on my side or something...
Her name is Rio, she don't need to understand...
Oh Rio, Rio, hear them shout across the land..."

Probably unintentional but interesting choice of title above a picture of a black man.

No, wrong breast tattoo.
Rumour that Phoenix could have a licence extension confirmed by the end of the season.
