We will continue to get short extensions until the time comes that the FFA are not bailing out clubs on the other side of the Tasman then they will up the ante on us and force us into a corner financially with some rediculous FFA bollocks

Yeah, Feel like this is the time to really push for a longer extension considering the other clubs are such basketcases.

Has there been any announcement on License extensions. Seems to have gone quiet or have I just not been listening?

Gone quiet I think. I'm sure that work is ongoing in the background.

FFA probably just focusing on the Jets.

So much for having an extension by the end of the season...

This has to be hurting us now.

If you're a half decent player and you want a 2/3/4 year contract (as you do), would you sign one with an organisation with a guaranteed lifespan of 12 months?

Words like probably, likely, should, and will are not the same as is, have, did, are.

It's needs to be sorted as like it or not, we're massively hamstrung in a recruiting sense.

it's almost like they should promote on the success stories and give them a fudgeing licence so they can focus on the problems.

Exactly HN. I heard that the Nix have asked for a longer licence but not an official unameable source so may well stand to be corrected. Just give us a 10 one and leave us to raise the money. Mind you Sky needs to stop being to tight and pay more for the rights. A lot more people watching football than they are letting on - like a lot of those at the recent U20 games perhaps??

I imagine any licence extension length will tie directly into the length of the Sky TV deal.

Did anyone here actually hear that Radiosport interview? It does sound like bollocks - for a start they're talking about Dome being a member of WelNix but he's an employee of them isn't he? My guess is that if there was such an interview, Dome was expressing frustration at the process and it's been blown out of proportion by the 442 troll.

It is concerning that this process is taking so long though. Well it's completely rational for the FFA to want to keep us for financial reasons, sports administrators often make stupid irrational decisions. The longer this goes on the more worrying it becomes.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) offered the club a five-year extension, but they want at least 10.

 Well now....

Calling Ahsan Ali Syed.

What was Dome going on about third party investments, so much mumbling, and Hampton suggesting overseas football clubs

At a guess, maybe a foreign club paying our percentage of the salary cap???? ( a real BYO/ 'guest' situation).

It will just be more things like Sinopec paying for the preseason. They'll be paying for specific things (like the preseason) to keep the FFA happy that we aren't using third party payments to breach the cap.

Perhaps if Sky offered a substantial increase  in tbeir contribution to show the A League it would help our cause. We want 10 years and the FFAhave offered 5.

Personally we should take the 5 year deal now, it might be the only offer we get.

The Nix Facebook page is asking what people would like to see in our 10th anniversary kit for the 16/17 season. Obviously they are working on the assumption we will still have a club then
