That did cross my mind.

So far I have asked here, Team Wellington and Phoenix.  This is the first reply I have had. Is there something like an OFIA (Official Football Information Act) that I am breaching...?

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

A few more transferees into the WeeNix - not sure if on trial or for reals. Liam Wood (Upper Hutt 1st team), Christian Johnson (Olympic2nd team) and Sam Gillespie (Wests 2nd team).

Liam's a busy defensive midfielder or a defender of any sort really. Christian Johnson used to be also a holding midfielder, but for the Greeks has played more as a right back. Sam Gillespie is a pacy winger or striker, and a lefty iirc.

All good kids and good players. Great to see them getting a chance.

He's the same who plays for Heartland Wairarapa last year?

Canterbury United youth defender Ben Stroud just signed for the Wee Nix.

Son of former All White goalkeeper and my local pub owner Alan Stroud.

Great, now they have a Ridenton, a McGarry, a Rufer, an Evans and now a Stroud. They will fielding an entire 11 of ex All Whites sons soon!

When you say just, it was at least two weeks ago as noted on the Mainland page.

The amount of ex All Whites kids in and around NZ age group and other development/academy teams must be disproportionally high compared to just about all nations. It's like FM, but IRL.

Highly entertaining curtain raiser at the Hutt Wreck.....Weenix down 0-2 and end up winning 6-2. Boyd got four. Southern imploded after the red card

Really liked the look of Rufer.....distributed really well from deep positions.....has a great long passing game. took his goal well too. Blake looked good too...he has nice feet and is quick. The LB who has played for the seniors look good too, forgot his name. Boyd got 3 pen's....has so much time on the ball, which is always a sign of a good footballer

I see the wee nix are playing the saturday and are not curtain raisers for the big nix.  Fixtures page say it's at Hutt Rec, but I thought i heard over the loud speaker that they were playing in Petone.  Anyone know for sure?

From this page

The Weenix host Hawke's Bay United this Saturday at 130pm. Fresh from their astonishing 6 goal comeback the lads will be full of confidence as they host 3rd place Hawke's Bay United.

This is a free event so get down to Petone Memorial Park and support the lads.

Tyler Boyd really dominating the Golden Boot race - 1st, 2nd AND 3rd at the moment for a total of 30 goals!

And Nat Hailemariam rounding out the top 5 too.

Has anyone read this?

I'm surprised there has not been more comment about this. What an INSANE finish to the game! My jaw was hanging open. I'd heard it ended up 6 - 2, but not HOW it got there. Unbelievable!

Worryingly, if WeeNix has scored at least 44 goals this season, it has also conceded 33.

Apparently HBU having to travel affected the possibility.

Saturday is also the (pretty sweet) Petone Fair. Make it a day out.

That will make traffic a nightmare so if you are NOT doing the fair get off at Dowse and loop around Jackson Street.

Any sign of Paul Ifill?

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Paul Ifill's with Team Wellington, Barrie.

Let's just say his spell on the sidelines hasn't been kind to him, based on the evidence presented at Kiwitea Street last Sunday. That said, he can't do much without the ball, and his team-mates were largely denied the pleasure of using it last week.

Cheers,

JR
