So is the new official bar really going to work pre game on weekends?

To celebrate the partnership, Carlsberg has subsidised one bay at the opening game on October 12 against Perth Glory.

One silver bay at the game will be sold for $18.47 (a nod to Carlsberg’s year of establishment) – an almost 20% discount on the standard pre-buy price of $23. Tickets for this special deal go on sale on Grab One at 12am on Thursday 9 October.

As part of the sponsorship, Bethel Woods, 73 The Terrace, becomes the official bar of the Wellington Phoenix for pre and post-match functions, including buses to and from games at Westpac and functions throughout the year.

Bethel Woods are looking forward to supporting the Club and the fans. This Sunday, the doors open at midday with the Phoenix v West Ham Carlsberg Football United Tour match playing on the big screen from 2pm.

The Back Bencher will always work. Back bencher, offical pre-game watering hole of the Yellow Fever since ages.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Solution... upgrade to real beer, and buy Emersons, or Rennaisance, or Panhead, or 3 boys, or Garage Project, or No8 Wired, or even Tuatara Aoeteoroa Pale Ale...

They generally play 60s/70s music there so that will appeal to quite a few of us 'older' YF types ..... also have live music at night.  Was packed the other Thursday I was there.

Good vibe, there is an outside upstairs wee bar, good selection of beer, its an excellent choice me thinks.

Of course Backbencher before the game is a given....

Hey what is my name doing on my profile?  where's the mystery? Or am I the only one who can see it? (panics)

It's a new feature, if you enter your name other people can see it - if you want to remain anonymous remove your name from your profile.

We gonna have live updates of the banning ceremony on Twitter and Facebook?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Why is that an either or? Surely you can stream it even if Sky DO have the exclusive?

Only a fool would believe that. Have a look at the A-League partners and it is obviously just a silly rumour that only an idiot would post. How about this. If its true I wont use a photcopier for 3 months. If its false you will crawl back under your rock and not photocopy for 1 month. Have you got the balls?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
