Phoenix Sponsorship

I think the current owners would take a brothel sponsorship to prevent them having to dip further into their pockets

And nothing wrong with that. It's a legal business, as long as it was an establishment where the workers were treated well. If they offered discounts for YF members, I bet it would be very popular, at least with the menfolk.

Yup, there's definitely much more evil sponsors floating around.

Lots of things are legal but doesn't make them moral or ethical.

Lots of things are illegal that are moral and ethical as well.

As long as the nix aren't sponsored by Halliburton I'm happy enough.

prob old news but I see Huawei sponsor the C Raiders

Have done since 2012. Raiders kit yesterday was rather Nix like

Ah that must be the reason I noticed it

This caught my eye as well, looked like the Warriors v the Nix from a distance! Not sure I'd like to see a clash between Konrad Hurrell and Louis Fenton or Weemac. Siggie might hold his ground though.

change the badges and changes the Blue and green to black and that would look a pretty good away kit.

I haven't seen any announcement from the club, wonder if they have jumped the gun and done an FFA an announced it early.

Good to see Hard News featuring so prominently in a 2degrees promo!

We're the WELLINGTON Phoenix

And this is our Home

Is the Yellow Fever Zone now the 2degrees Fan Zone now?

Or is the picture deceptive and they are starting their own zone in the 10,000 unoccupied seats on the other side of the stadium?

I use 2 degrees, they're awesome. $19 per month with heaps of data, voice and unlimited texts.

http://www.wellingtonphoenix.com/article/huawei-and-phoenix-sign-nzs-largest-ever-football-sponsorship-deal/gfdhgrld4ra21gopr2h6uzumi

"The Wellington Phoenix was Huawei’s first major football partnership, and since signing on with the Phoenix, Huawei’s stable has grown to include such iconic clubs as Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico de Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Benfica. This year Huawei announced Lionel Messi as a Global Brand Ambassador."

Pretty good company to be !  Thank you Huawei

almost as bad as the 3way handshake.

Cringeworthy at best. But a great deal for the club. This gives them an at least 3 year plan with sponsorship guaranteed. As for the plonker in the middle, i can only say...

Inference from the headline is that the sponsorship is more this time around. Which is great news.

Actually a pretty good indication of the clout our Chairman has.

While we know John Key would be at the opening of an envelope in NZ if it gave a photo opportunity, it is a big deal in China to have "backing" from a high ranking politician.

It should also be remembered he is still the most popular PM NZ has had, and remains so by quite some margin, so despite what some are saying in here, this is not a bad thing for the club domestically, even putting aside the apparent increased deal

Has there been a study? A poll?

Let's keep political chat about how popular Key is to a minimum in here please.

Talk about how the Chinese government is spying on us all instead ?
