Im putting money on NHpete having a better setpiece than bertos

lets play the game on wakefields north field it gives the similar appearance to Skilled park so that should help give a QLD feel to the game

So predictable

Start well, wilter off, other team dominates

Every.Single.Away game.

It's pathetic how unfit some of our players are - look at McGlinchey, possibly the whitest guy in the A-League, was still going strong at the 90 min mark.

That is why we don't win away games.
FIT AT HOME....UNFIT AWAY........Didn't KNOW you could lose your fitness that quick.......Who are the UNFIT players..?......all looked ok against Victory............just GOT to take chances when they come......should been 1-0 up and  on our way to another win

Unfit in 28 degrees + humidity..bit different to Welly

The entire team dropped away after we started at 100 miles an hour

Marco looked half dead when he came off

Even Daniel stopped tracking back after being on for 20 mins

The same thing happens every away game - whether the travel takes it's toll or what I don't know. There has to be some explanation.

And yes agree on Hearfield - not sure why we didn't learn our lesson from last time when Rose ripped us apart valeo2011-01-09 22:19:32

Actually new idea, since I don't want injuries get the team onto fifa and make them play with their player in the be a pro mode. Too see what they are actually capable of and at least the refs won't be bias.

TBH i dont think our mid field is well balanced, prob is we just give the ball away too much and cannot build enough pressure. We are also missing a touch of class up front with the absense of Ifill. Young Rojas to me isn't a starter, just doen't seem fit enough to me and seemed to go missing after a bright patch. The prob is he is our most potent

We can invite that young prospect guy, and have him on our team! Heheh, and Rojas has to play for us, because he was the yellow fever schloarship.

Rojas got injured after that challenge which should've been a penalty. He looked like he was just about crying by the time he came off.

A game of lost opportunities for us. I did not think we were as bad as many have been posting. We created 3 great chances in the first five minutes....anyother day at least one would have got in. We dominated possesion and territory in the second half....we just could not break down one of the best defenses in the League. With a sliceof luck/skill we could have nicked a goal as we pressed hard for the last 30 mins.

0-1 away against a team fighting  for second spot on the Table is not a bad effort. If we played like that evertime away we would have a much better record.

I don't normally comment on A-League refs because in general they are deplorable. But how did the ref and his assistant miss the foul on Rojas??? FFS he nearly pulled his shirt off. Certain penalty. Then the scumbag kicks Rojas as well. He's going to have to get used to that sort of treatment unfortunately.

to me he just looked tired, the challange was awkward, but didn't think he got injured from it

Yeah well he did plenty of running when he was on and also in the last game. Appearantly he was kicked though when he was still on the ground??

This. it's just not been a good, consistent season. There haven't been enough 90 minute performances strung together.

A 20 minute spell here, 45 minutes there, but not whole matches (perhaps apart from this week v the Victory), and no back to back performances.

That said, 6/10 teams getting to the playoffs means mediocrity may still be enough. However, maybe not getting there might prove to be the boot up the backside needed to improve things for next season.

I predicted that you would get it wrong! I also predicted that Matthew Breeze would bone us (and not in a good way either!)

If Matthew Breeze really the best ref Aussie has heaven help us, O'Leary must be just about due for sainthood compared to that, the standard of officiating last night was deplorable, how did the linesman not see the foul on Rojas, even Robbie Slater made comment in the commentary. But I suppose its the same old treatment suffered by NZ teams in aussie.

But even saying the above after the first couple of minutes we were never going to score even if we had been there allnight.

Oh the frustation of being a Nix supporter. Those are my thoughts like em or leave em.

Troy quite often goes more central to mark the striker Dura is already covering, then one of their midfielders steams out side him so he has to sprint after him. Poor.

Yep, the goal was 50% his fault and then the other 50 can be credited to either Brown, Lia and Muscat who were all failing to track McGlinchy. Brown probably most at fault.

Cross would have never come in if Hearfield had been marking his player properly, and that player would never have got the ball had Manny not come screaming out of midfield and missed the interception.

Fact is, those 3 mistakes made in a row lead to their goal, it's unfortunate because if any one of those players had done their job right, it wouldhave been 0-0 and we'd have still been in it.

Just wasn't our night, move on and let's try and get a point off Brisbane.ScoobyD2011-01-10 11:36:30
