Yes. Kosmina keeps calling us NZ, a bit annoying.

Good to see a few Bring Back George's in the crowd.

So is his voice. Rather listen to Robbie Slater to be honest. Not as high pitched and whiney.

good first half boys 38 degrees and we seem to be handling it much better than Noocastle, here's hoping we don't fade too early in the 2nd half

I really hope we don't see a repeat of that Fury game where they dominated the second half and equalized late. Score another few. Come on boys !

Its a summer competition,  they are professionals.  I work in hotter temp than that and I expect them to also.  You have no idea what I do so dont come back and say "but your not running around in the heat"  because I do

Sick of hearing professional sports people complaining about elements, amount of games be they to many or not enough.  The rest of us work 5-6 days every week all year round no matter what the conditions are and we dont get paid like they do.

I think you will find that by law you are not allowed to work outside when temps are over a certain level.

Physiologically running around in temps over 35c is unhealthy, doesn't matter if your playing football or laboring on a building site.

can someone PLEASE clarify the Daniel playing for the AW's bit?? I thought it was 2011, but if they say he's elegible on the telly...surely they aren't talking out of their arse? [actually I think they are]! where do they get their info??

Stinking hot weather, and so not great conditions, but we'll take the 1-0 lead into halftime.

As with all Phoenix games where we go a goal up, it would be very much desirable if we grabbed a second to ease any nerves. Jets haven't created any great opportunities and our defence is holding up pretty well so far.

Newcastle crowd looks very poor. Only 5k I'd say. Is that their supporters zone down in the left far corner ? Like a quarter of the Fever zone. Tiny.

diegos been pretty much invisible, but i think this game has gone past the midfields somewhat, I mean we haven't heard much of TB either.

I think that in this heat there hasn't been so much pressing in the midfield and less passing through the midfield, lots of long balls, very end to end

2011

2012. I think. 5 years after 2007 when he first arrived. Commentator doesn't know what he's on about.

Ever tried sitting in 40 degrees with no shade? surprised they've got that many spectators.

I think he is a NZ citizen now, but that doesn't mean he can play for the AWs. Think FIFA imposed a 5-year wait. Since he came in 2007, this would mean 2012?

Every week the commentators crap on about Daniel not being selected for the All Whites and questioning why not.  Pisses me off when its such a simple thing to find out.

This is getting rather off topic but, not always that simple though is it Teza. There are some jobs out there which cannot be just stopped.

Jets look stronger to me. I think we started to wilt round the 30 minute mark and I noticed that most of their team, with one or two exceptions, were still moving OK.

Ricki needs to get fresh subs on early, because it's going to get all very desperate around our penalty area methinks.

we'll it might be the after-effects of last week's adrenaline fest, but I'm fairly on edge

an early one to settle the nerves would be good

this pitch and the heat = i reckon we could see a few mistakes

their crowd seems not just samll but fairly quiet - tbh i can do without hearing players/coaches makes it sound too amateurish - i.e no crowd

any way Aus TAB is more confident than me
