True, but he has been poor most of the other games I've seen him play. Remember him diving over the ball for Greenacres first Phoenix goal.
And he gave Brown his goal in the 3-0 game.
You know we belong together...

To be fair to Kennedy, he saved them from letting in 5.

Saved Costa's volley from close range, and of course saved Greenie's spot kick.

makes sense, as his old band used to play for Blackpool, Liverpool and Hull

I am almost half-expecting it...I just hope not. Newcastle are a side we can take points off.

Just looking at the team sheet, we do lack defensive cover and the starting 11 is also very attack-minded. Happens when Diego replaces Lia.

Just hope Newcastle give Ifill a lot of space again :D

Or they put four defenders on him giving Bertos and co plenty of space on the other side of the park.

We gotta take the points here boys. Just planer and simple. With Ifill playing up top this game, Newcastle will have to re-address him as he was wide when they took him on. Would like Diego to have as little game time but would love to be proved wrong. 3-0 de ja vu again.

I like to think/hope hes just taken a while to settle in. Today is his big chance to prove that he has (mustve been doing something right in training),and if he comes off he'll be better than mully would be if he had a good game. So could prove to be a good move.

do you guys think we're going to receive the Nix-txt with the formation when the teams plays away or does that service only work for home-games?
I bloody love knowing the formation before the game kicks off!

Wish I could be there but I'd bankrupt myself flying up for every game.

Let alone the away games

Totally OT, but watching tv right now and beach football replay > last night's rugby test.

We need to start planting more trees right now and become vegetarian for tonight's dinner at least.

Maybe also see if we can get those icebergs up to Oz toute suite.

That heat is going to be bloody tough for us. That and the awful pitch mean this probably isn't going to be a pretty game to watch.

Yeah, every game in Newcastle the pitch has looked poor.

Wouldn't  call  it a pitch, Hackney Marshes pitches are better than this poor excuse for a A-league club playing venue.......is KP better [ maybe not ] 3-1 win tonight

I know you mean well but absolutely not.  There are few things that I don't condone ever and one of those happens to be vegetarianism.

I'm picking 2-1 to the Phoenix.  Hopefully the temperature dips significantly.

I'm sure Ifill has played in those conditions in the Carribbean. simon_hampton2009-11-22 18:22:45

The temperature ain't going to dip in time to save the players. It's currently 39 and the cool change isn't due till much later. Quite dangerous conditions to be playing football in IMO.

This is going to be interesting....

Hopefully no injuries today so RH can use his subs extra wisely. The defenders are going to have to put in a massive performance for 90 minutes. No defenders on the bench could turn out to be a poor call.
