We have this every week. Anyone who cares knows the result so who cares if its in the news?

They have no coverage so they can't do a story, especially when they didn't even have a reporter at the ground AND its the night after an All Blacks test......

The goals have screened over here now so it shouldn't be long to wait. As well as JayFC's youtube site check out http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/a-league/ for an interview with Ricki and Shane Smeltz, which will hopefully show up a bit later.

Probably not a penalty and both goals came from opposition mistakes but Hearfields and Gaos finishes were slick.chocnut2008-08-03 21:13:01

sure it was a softer penalty than others that have been turned down but giraldi gave the ref as much reason as he could to award one.

Ha fair comment, guess I was expecting a bit more from the goals... But in the end it was a great victory!

Wow great to see the boys come back like that, especially Gao getting the winner at the end its like the Melbourne game at the start of last season but with a super finish!

That was a sweet finish from Gao after he'd taken it round the keeper, still wasn't easy

Normo's coming home

I thought Hearfield showed some real class with his goal, that was a lovely first touch and a sweet finish, just chipping it over the onrushing keeper.

I have to admit I am a little worried about our backline, it looks like Sigmund might not be up to it :( I will be very curious to watch how he goes if he starts against Melbourne (Ricki might be tempted to play Dodd at CB alongside McKain given that Durante is suspended). Shame we don't have much of an idea how Manny Muscat and Christie performed. I hope Mulligan is up to speed soon because I don't like the thought of Plodder as part of our starting back 4.

oh, and please Lochy, come home!

Damn Gao is fast left that defender behind. Smeltz looked weird when they interviewed him today.lol

Gonna be a good game to watch against Melbourne,

That interview was unintentionally funny: it looked like Ricki and Shane had taken a bet beforehand to see who could be the most po-faced and unenthusiastic. Ended up a tie I reckon.

Great to see the blooming goals at last!! Hearfield finish looked sharp, and Gao did well with the gilt-edged opportunity he was given - you've still got to get it in the back of the net! Roll on Wednesday - it's gonna be a cracker!

lol was just about to say after watching that one thing stood out, gao is insanely fast, he completely burned that defender, man its exciting when you've got him tearing around the park, and then bertos will be going almost if not as quick down the flanks as well, it bodes well.

i think its the theory of media exposure = a bigger number of people who care.

Who's Tim Hearfield?

Three for me, and two for them.
