Do we still have 3 subs or does it increase for the finals?

Could be a good opportunity for Perth fans to cross the ditch, with Perth's S14 rugby team playing the Hurricanes in Wgtn the day before.

There is some talk on their forums of chartering a 68 seater plane for the occasion. Though I don't know how much substance there is to that. Would be very cool if that happened though. In the words of Rhys Darby: Imagine that?!?

Top effort by their lot coming all the way out here though (those who do make it).

Why don't they just move the egg-ball to the ring of dirt?

Correct, but you can obviously still only use three

What time will the game be? This is important.

Much better options at least. Can at least have all the positions covered nicely.

Why can't they have this rule for the whole season? 3 subs on the bench ain't great.

Hope this doesn't develop into a p!ssing contest between the codes vying for the punters wallets.

Looks like NZRFU/S14 has done a massive look at how their game's wheels fell off last season and the publicity and packages on offer are good.  So having the canes play their first home game after a win on the same weekend as the Nix achieveing the best of any NZ team in the A-league and a major historic moment in the first playoff is both good for the city but worrying in terms of maximising crowds (for both codes but obviously I'm biased towards mine).

Not sure how I'd react if we got to that stage (shoot out or a deciding penalty in the last few minutes).

On 14 Nov i couldn't look.

Next week while I'll be wishing for a win and on to the next play off, mentally I'm pretty relaxed about where the team has got to this season.

Welcome to the big leagues, this happens in big markets all of the time. The pleasing thing is that we are in a position of having to worry about this kind of stuff, it wasn't too long ago that we only had to worry if soccer fans could be arsed getting out of bed to come along and watch. Now we are worrying about market share, ground share etc - bliss........

True - nice to be in this position.  I just wouldn't classify Wgtn as a big market.

(cue calls for taking the game on the road to big cities...)

i don't want to get too ahead of myself here, BUT...

say we win this sunday do we get a 2nd home semi if the jets beat GCU? and if we win and GCU win, does that mean we would travel there again?

just interested in travel, but would want to hold off till the 2nd semi if it was going to be at home...

If Gold Coast win and Sydney draw or lose to Melbourne tomorrow it will be Sydney, not Gold Coast.

we were quite keen on a charter flight though hard to gauge the interest as wasnt clear where we were playing until today!! Will know more during our final home game today so will let you know. There are a few keen on flying via a commercial airline on Fri night and you were right earlier could also get to see the Hurricanes/Force game.As you can tell not the ideal scenario for us or if The Nix had to travel to us........BTW do I need a warm jacket as dont possess one of those haha.
