Thank you Ifill. Was just taking off my son's shirt when you scored. Somehow, cleaning up his sh*tty nappy and backside at halftime wasn't as bad after that goal

No way FFA are going to give up a guaranteed 50k gate. Anyway as the Tards finished higher I think they get the nod.

Selfishly I want an Etitard game cos it's just down the road from me.

It's not like asking your Mum for a lolly, it's a structured system.

Melb and Sydney finished Top 2, so any remaining game is in either city now

So, so, so, so very happy.  I am so glad to see this happen for football in NZ.  I played all through my schooling (hopelessly), but there seemed little in the way of pathways for anything to be taken seriously, and the All Whites were always very much second class citizens in the media compared to the All Blacks.  The Phoenix and All Whites success this year though is a massive WOW!  What we have to be careful of is the Warriors-Kiwis effect, where at the end of 2008 the Warriors in league had gone close to another Grand Final and the Kiwis won the World Cup, and then off the back of the Warriors league lost all its momentum.

Anyway, to the game!  Daniel, man that was the best impact role EVER off the bench.  The dude was in everything positive.  Ifill, it just doesn't seem like it was happening for the great man and then he rips one to the far post.  Class.  Durrante kept covering up beautifully also.

The only thing I thought for a lot of the match is the backline was pushing too far forward and leaving itself exposed for through balls and that the full backs were playing perhaps too attacking a role and leaving us exposed for a counter attack stretching the centre halves wide and opening us up down the middle.  And, Greenacre, while he scrounged very well and retained a lot of good ball, he just seems to make the wrong runs when the crosses are coming in.

Fingers crossed we can bring this baby home... C'mon Nix!

bloody amazing game of football, 1-1 after 90 minutes and then 3-1

we had so many chance to put it off, credit to Newcastle they hung in and could have had more than one goal themselves

gripping and epic, right down to the wire (minus PK)

bring on next week

think i lost my voice yelling too much at Fox's

go Nix!
