If we lose, we also lose our home record. This is a home game.

It is not however, at the ROF

As illustrated by my point earlier lol... a win = record extended... a loss is irrelevant as it isn't the ROF so record intact

Mulligan there for CM cover, so Lia can drop back for defense.

Is  Brown out for this match too....5 yellow cards ???????????

No Brown only has four yellows

Durante is on 4 as well. Hopefully he doesn't get a 5th yellow while Siggy is suspended.

Yeah, definitely don't get a yellow this game. Next game wont be a disaster as Manny will be back the game after that and could slot into CB if Durante is suspended.

With all our defenders have brainfarts and getting suspensions, I think Musa should get a start, even if only on the bench. (That and he's a hometown boy too - Wanganui not Palmy)

No matter what happens, i hope we can thrash Sydney in Palmy, and make it our Iwo FMG-ima. Next stop, top 4.

Why not? I didn't realise playing in the NZFC was a pre-requisite for being capable of playing in the a-league?

bear in mind, im being biased cause he's a Wanganui boy :)

How about we go by the last league he DID play at. Manawatu Mid-Central. Thats 2 below Central League. i'm sure there is someone else in the mixer with experience at a higher level than that

Sorry but if he can't make NZFC level then starting him in the A-league is about as smart as trying to convince Wellyphoenixfan he's wrong.

I'm sure he's a good player but seriously people.

I've had 3 years in mid central at centre back (and 4 in mid central 2) - thats two more than him, pick me!

I've heard once elsewhere a while back that the Nix would have a open training session this friday (4.30 to 5.30 I think it was). Are they doing any other publicity in Palmy?

Edit: time was 3.30-4.30

Looks alright, except change Bertos and Daniel round, no point having a left footer on the right and vice versa. Looks a bit light defensively on the bench, but we don't have a lot of options.

Was there a reason behind your username change?

Also it would be disappointing if we did not play attacking football in Palmy because we want to build our fanbase by playing attractive football so I think we should play two strikers (Ifill in his striker position on the right) and not 4-2-3-1. I think we will be very conservative in Palmy however because of our home record and also because we are playing Sydney.

so long as we have lochhead out there, we're safe as houses.

lochhead... the man... the legend

would it cost much to get a life sized golden statue of lochhead made?

I can see that you have not seen too many good defenders in your life.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

None as good as Lochead. Except maybe his cardboard cutout. Have you not heard the transfer rumour? No way he should be rotting in the A league.

Allegedly

Now with Paston out, the team will surely have to look like:

-------------------Crowther---------------------
--Hearfield--McKain------Durante----Lochy-
--Bertos-----Brown-------Lia---------Daniel-
----------Ifill-------------Greenacre-----------

na Lochhead can cover both goalkeeper and LB roles. He's pure class.
