On a random note, I flew back home (Christchurch) from Rotorua and I met Greg Draper at the airport. Couldn't believe my eyes. I went over to have a yarn with him and asked him if he's being signed on again and he said it isn't decided but he spoke to Ricki yesterday. He also has no idea what's happening over the Phoenix in the A-league post 2011 debacle (so I'm hoping that doesn't mean nobody there knows).

I'd love to see him play somewhere in the A-League... May not be likely just yet, but I'd be just as happy if he signed for another A-League team and got first team action as if he re-signed for the Phoenix.

Jeez! I'm getting real nervous.
In the past whenever the phoenix play you really want them to do well....but if they lose then Oh well...there is always next week. But now, there's so much riding on these games. The pressure is really cranked up. I wonder how the players will respond.
Making the playoffs in year two would be phenominal! the benefits would be huge....kudos for the club...maybe more sponsors coming on board. At least one more home game...playoff game at the ROF would surely bring in a big crowd. The players must be feeling the heat. Not many kiwi players have been in this position before.
