Paston 6 Completely exposed by the defence. I hope he got the chance to bash their heads together afterwards
Manny 5 Did an OK job, usually had his man under control, but little constructive
Siggy 6.5 Played well personally, great goal, let down by poor combination with Durante
Durante 3 Oh dear, where was he at the crucial times????
Lochie 5.5 Made a crucial save, apart from that was given a tough time by the Korean etc on occasions
Hearfield 5 Worked hard, but created little of quality
McCain 5.5 Some good interceptions, but final balls to people were poor at times
Brown 5 Anon
Bertos 8 Our best player by a mile, created, ran at them, a good strike
Ifill 5 Tracked back usefully at times, did nothing useful up front
Greenacre 6 Looked likely, nice, if lucky, goal
Daniel 3 anon
Diego 2 faffing around in midfield gave the ball away for winner

I'm fine with comparing the other 10 players to one another. but keepers to outfield players, just stop.

I'd have Paston, Lochy and Hearfield all a half point higher than you Oi Oi but other than that fair.
Can someone tell me how you play two defensive midfielders and Vignaroli gets to walk around the midfield ?

Yep the seasons up and running ratings back again.Agree mostly but as much as i to disagree dont think siggy deserved that rating.Yep he scored but far to many holes at the back and they wernt all Durrante

Paston 7 no problems, solid not spectacular.
Muscat 6 No complaints but offered little going forward
Durante 5 couldnt cope with an average jets front line
Sigmund 5.5 one moment at start where he should have cleared that lead to a Durante foul which was poor, cant give to high a rating to a defenda in a poor defence
Lochhead 5 not 2 bad goin forward, however eaten alive by Song, and costly at the back
Hearfield 7 got into good positions kept ball wellish
Brown 6 went missing at times and didnt ofer much in final third
Mckain 6 had a few good attacking runs but was wateful with the ball and chose the wrong option too often
Bertos 8 strong runs, always dangerous in the final third and played well with Iffil and Greenacre. Two good assists
Iffil 6 held up ball reasonably well, but lukd tird and didnt get thru too much work.
Greenacre 7 played quite well up front, luky with goal but did luk threatening, went missing once he was all alone up front.
Diego and Daniel 5.5 Nowhere near the impact I had expected from either.
RH 5 Two ineffective substitutions, a central midfield that created little and was wasteful, played a forward hu was nowhere near fit (Iffil) and knew he wudnt play the full 90, yet decided agianst bringing over another decent forward (Costa)

rather disappointing, durante played a significant part in every goal we conceded which is disappointing given his pedigree and that he is our skipper, siggy was class

Thought that Bertos was easily our best player on the park and looked the most likely to go forward.. Greenacre worked hard

Manny 5.5 OK defensively, pushed the ball back a bit
Siggy 6.0 Good header for goal, but not his best defensive effort
Durante 4 Dissapointing game all round
Lochie 5.5 totally owned by the Korean. Ok going forward.
Hearfield 6.5 Continues to be promising
McCain 6.0 Did a lot of clearing in defensive pieces, showed why he aint a forward
Brown 4.5 Only noticed him when he fouled
Bertos 7.5 Like his ability to run at them, set pieces were better, got the pass to Greenacre
Ifill 5.5 No combination built yet. Didnt do much wrong
Greenacre 6.5 Took his chance
Daniel 3.5 gave the ball away
Diego 3.5 Seemed lost on the right

McKain who was a stand out last year couldnt stop thumping it afar. Good performances by Leo, Greenacre and Sigmund. Ifill tried hard and will get better. Muscat held his side well,Blockhead nand Durante need a lesson in marking

The only positive for the nix was on the flanks. Our defense was turned over time and time again (offside trap epic fail), McKain's passing was utterly atrocious (highlighting the problem of playing a 4-4-2 with two defensive mids and nobody capable of generating goal scoring opportunities) and upfront, well, we were lucky. Ifill is clearly short of a clip and while Greenacre might be good I think I'll reserve judgement. At least he was running, however.

Yeah true. I can't tell what's worse - McKain fucking it up everytime he touched the ball or the fact that Brown was anon all game. I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's a bit of a problem when the only time you notice a player is when he makes a stupid tackle and gets carded.

It's awful supporting the Phoenix. They can't just play crap and you accept it because continually, hanging over your head is the prospect of being kicked out of the league. Why can't we just play crap (or average) and not have that threat. I'd be able to sleep so much easier.

You're right about the being kicked out of the league thing.... That does make me particularly uneasy. More so than in any other league where you may get relegated but still have a team to support.
As far as finishing 8th or higher... Definately can. Watched a few of the other teams, they aren't that great (as always). I have never been confident we will make the top 8, but wouldn't be surprised at all if we make the playoffs.
