Thats a very nice gesture of you. I live in the wrong part of the country but thank you for your generosity anyway.

Good to see Hicks playing well, rate him highly, maybe if he shines with TW he can push for inclusion in the midfield - long shot though.

Rufer has actually scored a goal... for the NZ U-17s today against ACFC. :)

Who was that short midfielder who finished playing for white? He looked pretty decent.

Anyway, finished 1-0 to the "b" team with all whites. I thought it was Brockie rather than Bertsch who scored with a lob over the keeper, could be wrong.

I think it was Stevens who played at right back for the white team, actually looked pretty good there.

Since Stevens is primarily a striker (and not a big one at that) I doubt that, unless Ernie has gone mad trying to find anyone who can play there. People saying it was Luke Adams I believe.

It could have been, I thought he was taller than that though. Quite a short, slight, quick guy, with lots of one touch passing.

Disgraceful result!

Pretty certain that was Luke Adams playing right-back for white, at least in the second half. I thought he looked quite out of place there.

Yes I was corrected not 5 mins after post hehe. Can anyone tell me who was the short centre mid who performed a superb turn on the ball just outside his box to start an attack for the whites late in the 2nd half?

oh dear..put the house on Brisbane next week.  IMHO...Carlos played well and showed some classy touches.  Lia I thought played well.  Worry that Cunningham didnt last more than 25mins..and Ifill not much more.  Not much inspiration elsewhere apart from Carlos who got fu\rustared wit team mates for either lack of vision off his pass or lack of vision to pass to him.  Stein ran hard but fruitlessly..Brockie ghosted in and out well and I thought he scored?  Boyd didnt offer much but tried a few shots.  Caira looked good at left back.  Dura played well for AWs plus B.   Manny okay but didnt impose like past years.

Thought it was Adams at right back second halves.

Think that was Bertsch.

Brockie won the Waffles/Brockie argument for me. Gulley got up and down the sideline well but looked to have hurt his groin just before half time. And it's a good thing Boyd has looks cuz the only place he will score this season, is off the park.

You sure it was him? He came out before the game (wearing gloves!) did some stretches then disappeared. He definately didn't start for Nix White.

Yeah Cunningham didn't play at all.

Thought Huysegems looked sharp, was nervous when he fell awkwardly but thankfully got up okay eventually!
Was hoping to see Kenny in action with Carlos will have to wait for that! Also a couple of exciting corners which are hopefully a sign of things to come, created some good chances versus last years corners which were always wasted.
Boyd still needs to work on his finishing had about 3-4 good chances, will be fuming if that happens next Sunday.

Really Lia played  well, you have to be joking most around where i sat just had to laugh at some of his passing .His passing was mostly just rubbish with some, very heavy touches on most occasions.Might have pulled off some that were okay but rest were just rubbish. Is a real worry if he  is seen as a regular starter then again i guess there arnt to many other options.

Lia's passing was woeful - if he gets a start this season, manny will be the only outlet to feed Hernandez et al - which concerns me big time.

I heard that Lia was MOM. Someone actually said during the game "When did we sign David Beckham?"  He was so unlucky not to score. Hit the woodwork 12 times.

Thought the ACFC guy kept the ball well, and was very accurate with his long passing. Not sure he is visa quality tho.

That was not Bertsch, looks completely different. I want to know who hat was as well. Looked very promising while he was on.

Yeah definitely wasn't Bertsch. Was far smaller. Sprayed a delightful ball with left foot later on too.

Who's the Hicks guy that Piney mentioned?

Pity they weren't wearing numbers.

Got to say it didn't fill me with confidence.  The black team pressed well and Whites did not handle that well.

Hernandez definitely promising - a few great balls for Stein.

I thought Boyd looked busy. Just couldn't finish.  I'm hoping he's just a little rusty.

Boxhall missed a couple of simple headers from Hernandez great corners.

No fullbacks really impressed. I know our style's a bit different now but no raiding down the wing and slinging in crosses. Especially without a left footed left back. Yet we do seem to have better numbers in the box.

And same old problems in midfield.  Keep the ball for a bit then easily given away when trying to go forward. Often by Lia. Execution in the front third has a long way to go.

Sounding like it was Jason Hicks.

So we had a goal scorer that could have been a guy that was in a different city with a German accent that was in the midfield but could have been a left footer playing at right back if he was not invisible in the game with a midget striker playing at the back and a guy that played 25mins but never played at all...

How can so many pairs of eyes get it so wrong? *facepalm*

Can someone give us some hard definitive facts?

Hicks is a small guy with a left foot.... You've answered your own question.
