Hi there

I would like to give some good comment about your discussion about Putter..

Eddy was in  his youth always selected for the national under 15-17-21 teams for The Netherlands.. as striker 9. The only one player who was not playing for the big 3 ( Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord who was selected for the national)

(Huntelaar was substitute behind Putter in the national under 21)

He played striker in same age category and teams as:

Van Persie ( arsenal)

Robben, Sneider Van der Vaart, Huntelaar ( real Madrid)

Boularouz (VFB Stutgart)

Stekelenburg ( AJAX)

Due to trainers and club policy his talent never got a fair change.. also he had bad luck, if he got a place in the team and scored, the next match he got an injury witch threw him back for a couple of weeks and had to fight his way back in the team.

So I think this could be a fine player if the teams is playing on technique.. and not playing working football.

cheers. What division/s could you compare the dutch first division to in Europe?

well that is a difficult one..

the level of players is very in the different.. in the first division or jupilier league

but you could compare it with mid and low teams inThe Coca-Cola Football League Championship and best teams in the League One

In the Netherlands there is no money to buy players.. like in England.

In this first division or jupilier league teams are playing for like 500 5000 people.

The Eredivisie teams (top division) do have some money but most of the time they have there own made players and they buy a cheap african or scandinavian player..

Top class

England

Spain

Germany / Italy

France

Portugal/Netherlands

Denmark / Sweden

Greece / Balkan countries

Belgium

does sound quite promising.

do you think his skills are still as good as he used to be? or has he suffered from not being able to play for the top teams?

O.K NZPower would you mind sending him on a free transfer to Wellington Phoenix and, while you're at it, have him score 10 goals with 20 assists as well...every little bit helps.

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

He sounds like hes got good credentials,I hope he can do the job. What is happening with the Lithuanian?

Interestingly he's scored 35 goals in 107 games playing for Dordrecht (1 in every 3 games), and 21 in 123 (1 in 6) for other clubs he's been with. Do you think there's a style of play at Dordrecht that suits him better than other clubs?

If he can recreate that kind of form for us I would be VERY happy!

I can see an array of golfing equipment being taken to the Nix games if Putter signs. Maybe a yellow fever polo and vest with accompanying Nix golf bag?

yeah..who need a driving range when Putter can play on the Greenacre...

This guy looks to have a good pedigree. You have to it hand it to the Phoenix managment they have scouted some very promising players. Greenacre looks the goods, Putter has all the credentials to do well in the A-league and Astroclaus is an obvious target man who has scored heapsof goals at a good level.

Time of course will tell. But if even 2 out of the 3 really come off we could be in for a good season.

I really like the look of this guy. He has had long spells at 2 good clubs, and has a pretty good goal scoring record to boot. The fact he has played age group for holland means he's talented. i hope we sign him. would prefer him to Astroclaus, way better pedigree.

His credentials seem similar to Sergio Van Dijk's and he has definitely proven himself at A-League level, interested to see what kind of player he is though anyone know much about that eg. skillful, quick that kind of stuff?

I look forward to seeing him in action.

Yeah should be cool to see how the boys go against the Victory down in Queenstown. Looked at the Otago Daily Times today and there was a bit about the Nix. Sounds like that Queenstown is really getting behind them. Does anyone know if Greenacre will be down for the game?

Almost certainly.  He arrived at the weekend and has already been spotted around town.  He's hanging out to get in to training and things (they are having a week off this week).

They want to get rid of Robben, Sneijder and Van Der Vaart too. Perhaps if we had a dutch coach we could bring them over haha
