The Jets managed to overcome Heart last weekend, which surprised me.

Tough game for us for sure, especially with our injury list. Hope the new guy Timmins starts, and hope that Stein brings his scoring boots.

Any body else here thought Stein did not have much chemistry on the park with Krishna? They did not read each other moves well.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

TWG says in an interview with Ernie that Carlos's calf injury is concerning the Nix. Looks like he might be rested for the Heart game in the hope that he recovers and can contribute in the last 4 games. Stein would drop into Carlos's position.

Carlos did look way below par last weekend. We looked way better once he was hooked. Fit and in form he is prob our best player......another big big blow for us if he can't contribute fully.

This injury stuff is just extraordinary.....we could field a decent team out of the guys who are out injured.

So we can expect something like this:

                          Moss
Boxall      Sigmund    Durante    Timmins
                         Muscat
              Lia                   Cunningham
                       Huysegems
              Krishna              Boyd
??? Or will Ridenton keep his place and Muscat to LB? And Krishna to start or Brockie?

we have done well previously sans Carlos(passing flow)....and well when he is on but in a different way(strokes of creativity/genius).

We could quite conceivably not win another game this season.

But...Huysegems has looked very tidy in a deeper role. Boyd and Krishna have pace. And the defences of (in particular) Newcastle and Victory are fairly vulnerable to pace.

I reckon Hernandez is not injured at all. I reckon he's tossed his toys and we mightn't see him again.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Surely we cant keep carlos out if hes fit to play?? He may have sulked off on sunday but he still can do a far many more creative/attacking things than any other.
If hes injured though, makes sense to get him back to 100%.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Ernie was scathing about him on the news which really surprised me.

Not turning up to training tends to get that kind of reaction from the coach.

Funny how Timmins comes in and goes straight in ahead of Luke Adams.

So we should play a CB at LB, instead of a LB we signed to cover LB?

I suppose he is left footed.

Interesting looking at the table we're the fourth highest scorers but we have the second worst defence.  One, excitement plus when Phoenix games are on!  But two, have to tighten up at the back between now and the end of the season.

Just Carlos putting in a big sulk, so Ernie seems to have had enough.

But at the same time the club is putting the word out that he has a "troubling calf injury"...Get your story straight fellas.

Something to do with using seventy five (approx) wide defender options I reckon.

The exciting brand of football (which is much much better watching imho) hasn't brought the crowd upswing.

Results are king.

Timmins is a left sided CB also.

Yes but we signed him as a LB. Adams played round 1 as a RB and didn't look convincing. Throwing him in as a left back, just cuz he was here first seems daft.

He'd still need a step ladder to get up that high. Headbutt might be easier.

Found this the other day. Thought it was quite funny given that the date is 28/01/2011

"It was petulant and I've spoken to him about it," Merrick said yesterday. "It's a good thing that players don't want to come off, but Carlos has hardly trained the past two weeks and we wanted to put on some pace up front because their defence was getting light.

"I've been dealing with Central American and South American players for the past five years.

"They have a different culture and what is acceptable in their country is not always acceptable in Australia. He understands that and I've spoken to him. Carlos blows up for five minutes and then he's fine, but it was behaviour that is not acceptable."
