Man the Heart really suck bad. Can't beat a team missing 8 players through injury who are reduced to 10 men, even when the ref gives you every favour imaginable. What a pack of losers

This needs some analysis! See what happened in the NBA etc etc...

No, it's Harry! Just kidding ya. He certainly showed today how to go down quicker than a $2 hooker.

That was some abject work from the ref, so one eyed it wasn't even funny.

We should have been 2-0 up playing against 10 not the other way around.  As a Leeds fan I'm really pissed that two ex players lived up to the "Dirty Leeds" tag.

That aside I enjoyed the game and pleased to see that Krishna and Timmins backed up well from last week.  I do feel that bringing Brocks on was a bad idea and Watson looked liked he had just turned up to play some RFL.

BT Sport never shows the post match wrap.  What did Andrew and Ernie have to say post game?

That was a good effort from us given the fall of the dice. Good to see Krishna get stronger and also Watson at the end. Unlucky with Boxalls last header. Its going to take a big effort but they have shown that they have the guts for it - lets hope they have the skill for it - but I'm not holding out any hope for luck helping out though.

Always a team I'm proud to support!

Great performance by the boys. I have never been more proud of my team against all odds. Never have i seen such blatant biasm by a referee. Come on phoenix. Atleast we got a point, we have to beat newcastle next week

Well said, although I'm not sure what a biasm is. Maybe like an aneurysm you get from watching shit referees ruin your chance of three points.

I agree but often the bad decisions against the Kingz and Knights were from kiwi refs like Brian Precious, Peter O'Leary etc.

I remember well the game that Brocks first showed his ability where the Knights were beaten by the kiwi ref, not the Aussie team at North Harbour stadium in the rain.

As the commentators said, its time to put a 5th official behind the goal to stop Kewell's dive and to send off Kisnobo.

Happy with the point but fuming as well! 2-0 up with a man advantage and we would've hammered them.

Disgraceful decisions cost us that match.

Also, how on earth did we lose 5-0 to them just 4 weeks ago?!

Engelaar turned up 4 weeks ago. This week, zero. Just shows what a major game changing influence he is for them when he is playing well.

Two things for me tonight. That was one of the most inept referee performances we've been on the wrong end of ( and we have had a few) and one of the gutsiest performances I have seen from us. Dura tonight was immense.

I think what we all want to see is consistancey.

If you are going to be good on the day or bad on the day, be the same to both teams. We all got quite passionate today because I feel inside ourselves we felt like we were getting shafted. Which in reality, we actually were.

Of course I include myself in this. Today really annoyed me for the above reason. Apologies for any over the top remarks and I can think of 3 I made, but the match officials ruined a game which imho could have been a real cracker. I am just as passionate as the next fella and I just felt we were ripped off. I hope Ben Williams gets dropped to reserve league and Kewell gets his karma reward.

Very disappointing result  as it does not help either team.

N/Castle don't play  tip tap football but they can be very dangerous. We have to win and without Ben we are going to be in some trouble.

Ironically, having that attitude makes you come across like a dickhead.

Just to clarify, on a thread that contained references to kicking puppies, deliberately breaking legs, and assaulting the referee, you thought that my comment was the one worth calling out?

I don't think it was deliberate bias from Williams. Generally he has been good for us. But why save his worst for us? also he was in awe of Kewell and Kewell picked up on it straight away. That set the tone for the match. If he had booked him for gobbing off at the linesman things would have been different

Permalink Permalink

Obviously not deliberate bias; but general incompetence - which is even worse.

I am very proud of the boys effort, it is very hard to play a game when down one player and still playing against twelve players!

Mr Williams, I hope you will be subjected to watching this game over and over again, you bloody muppet!

You wonder. Had he booked Kewell early for gobbing off, would he have taken the chance of falling over in the box? Would the other guy in the 93rd min that got done for dissent have T'd off?

Two HAL refs. O'Leary and Williams.
Mind you I thought O'Leary had a good game Friday night and can see why. Williams..... hmmm. You would think that someone at FIFA would keep monitoring these guys and put a red line through his name.

incompetence. that's the word I was meaning just didn't know how to spell it...

And as much as it was a really soft red, Siggy sometimes is just plain dumb.

I've got Jr tonight.and he gave me a yellow card for foul language- needed to go and have another beer and calm down before he'd let me back on the pitch.

What was actually quite an entertaining game was ruined but that prick of a ref. Biased? Who knows. But I'm  guessing that people don't care whether or not a ref is good or bad , so long as he's consistent. This bugger tonight was both poor and incredibly one eyed in his decision making. Instead of commenting how strongly we resisted  , praising Dura for both his performance and after match comments , we're talking about a shit case referee. Shame really- detracts from a very brave performance.

Oh , Kewell , you're a a cunt as well.

I'd also like to point out that when I said I'd like to catch up with Williams in Wellington, it was for some verbal abuse, nfot physical. Not sure why some thouht I meant that. But I'm chilled out now, we got a point despite Williams best efforts.
