Patrick, that kiss was in the 87th minute, and we then went on to lose.

If I found out that you had a cheeky snog at half time, there'll be retribution.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

The producers know him now. Look out for new hair style and contacts next game.

Had to go to the pub for an antidote . They tried to say it was pronounced HEINEKEN -

Anyone want to have a guess at the busiest time of day on YF (all those red crosses)?

Photo available but we will still get trainee officials because we are NZ.

To be fair, I think the mood about how the team played is positive. I think its realised we played well and ran out of gas with a heartbreaker in the 91st. There is some genuine beef with how a couple of players played but not anything to completely start kicking doors down and rioting in the streets.

I have no idea how you got from me loving the tiny dancing lion to kicking down doors and rioting in the streets but I guess that's just how you roll Jeff.

yeah I think I read your post wrong.

And ref was on the other side of the field - Ozzy rules.

Interesting Spoons gets a yellow for a handball but Berisha? doesnt when he falls over and grabs the ball to try and pretend he got fouled...

No such thing as an "intentional handball" in the rulebook, all handballs must be intentional, so it's not a yellow card offense.

Just spent all night Sunday and all day today avoiding the result so I could watch it.

I've gotta say - any Welly fan complaining about ref calls is a complete joke; that whole game the ref let fouls go and that is the only thing that kept us in it. There was only one side trying to play football. At times it more closely resembled a Hurricanes game than anything else.

However - lots of positives to take away. Manny back to his old self. Carlos looking good. Stein working hard and scoring. Once we get rid of Lia (who was horrid the whole game and spent by the 70th minute) - I think Riera will be a decent replacement in his proper position - and sign full backs that actually know how to play football  (I realise Adams is a CB - reminded me of Reid starting for West Ham at RB on his debut) we will be laughing.

Don't think Cunningham will be anything more than another headless  chicken in the Downey mould, though. But the juries still out. We'll see how he is when we are actually passing the ball around rather than bombing it long.

I think Ifill will be solely a bench player this season unfortunately.

page 119

  1. Disciplinary sanctions

There are circumstances when a caution for unsporting behaviour is required when a player deliberately handles the ball, e.g. when a player:

  • deliberately handles the ball to prevent an opponent gaining possession

  • attempts to score a goal by deliberately handling the ball

    Spooners did none of those.

Yellow card was justified. He actually did the same thing a few minutes before....... I haven't seen the replay but it looked like a carbon copy.

How is it justified when A: he never handled the fucking ball outside the box!!!!! It's wrong in so many ways it's not funny.

We need a referee to rule on this. I'd be surprised if any agree that it's a handball and a yellow card.

From the bits I managed to see ('cause I left the task of finding a Christchurch pub with Sky Sport 4 till the last minute) it was an encouraging "work in progress" by the makeshift Nix. I would not read much into Ifill's performance today. He will lift his game with a better team around him and may do better anyway by not having to play full 90 minutes if there are other options.

Join the Christchurch supporters club at Spectators Bar & Bistro, Addington Raceway, next week!
Had about 30 there today, great turn out.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll be there.  I was a bit of an endangered species at the Speights Ale House, with others watching the ITM Cup.

As far as I know (I may be wrong) all healthcare providers (DHB/hospitals/etc.) around the country specifically block Trade Me.
