Davilla v. Payne is looking like a mess

His free kicks and corners aren't even good. Bit of a disappointing debut..

what a bunch of mouthy tattoed crims WU are

Mac looking good. Shown great strength a few times. Needs to work on first touch.

Not sure about the negative football passing it back so often. Attack when in a decent spot.

Again Davila doesn't trakc Pain. It's almost getting to the point where he has to be dragged.

Do our players realise Durante isn't in our team anymore... We seem to be going the wrong direction.

The gap between the midfield and the attack is too long, slowing down transition of forcing us to go long which isn't going to work with the size of our forwards.

Just a consequence of this formation. The big concern is that we're playing defensively minded but we're letting them through so often

WU starting to look a step above. Men v Kids

Haven't had a chance to keep up with this thread this half, but Davila seems lost. Easily losing the ball and hanging Fenton out to dry on defence.

He just...doesn't look like a good player, if I'm honest. Also quite whingy whenever he goes down.

You can hear the WU players talking a lot on the pitch and I can't hear anything out of ours. A real lack of leaders there.

Ball has had some good touches, and liking the look of McCowatt. Maybe Piscopo for Davila 2nd half. Sotiro invisible? Or have I just missed him?

Early days.  We're starting from scratch this season.

Will take a few games before we know what we've got on the park and what to do in January window.

This is simply a team building season, even if we all would like to finish top four.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

We don't need Berisha they said. Hasn't scored in two years they said. Our team with a him or a similar player would easily slot into the top 6. We're creating threats from midfield, we just need an out and out striker to finish those off.
Also please drag Davila at half time. His defensive contribution was nonexistent and we're way too exposed on that flank.

Don't think it's been that bad despite conceding a goal too easily. The team looks as though we will be very competitive, if (and only if) we can find someone decent to partner up top with Ball.

God, it's just horrible not having Krishna up front. We haven't been bad but as expected it's a very average team, lacking flair and drive in attack.

Hoping for a lot from Waine and Piscopo.

Sotirio ballsed up a 2 on 2 attack with a heavy touch and ran around a bit.

Didn't think the half was too bad- nocked it around ok, created a few half chances.

Bit disappointed with Devilla. Sometimes we focus too much on possession then I like.

We did try to get Berisha.

Davila putting in a ton of work tracking back, he's just not very effective in the tackle. Every time he was exposed I was wondering where Fenton was, why is the back 4 so narrow? I don't really get how a 4-2-2-2 is supposed to work.

I was kind of hoping that Sotirio might push because he's not without talent. Early signs aren't that positive though. Apart from Ball there isn't a single other player who looks like they could bust a defence open. Except maybe Cacace, and it's a worry if you are hoping for a lot of goals from your LB.

Is this how we played pre-season if so I'm worried. Boring and negative possession based football playing backwards more than forward.

This is not the type of football which will get people tuning in or new faces at the ground.

Too slow.

We are too insisting on keeping possession instead of breaking their defence up.

Frustrating to watch.

Davila...

Get him off ffs. Terrible passing. Gets muscled off the ball. I don't get it.

We look better this second half but no idea who's gonna score - maybe from a corner?
