Williams has done fine, but I just wonder if his impact could have been better as sub, with burns doing the initial spade work. Can't see Burns having the same impact later on.

I feel like they are the better side, but not by much.

Their defenders are really helping keep their goalie quiet.

As long as we don't tire then it should be a banging half.

Agreed about their defenders; I expected them to be their weakest link (or maybe they are)

Any of them working for you?

Not sure about that one. Williams has more physical presence suited for the high-tempo game.

I would not be surprised if Rudan brings Burns on very late, or perhaps just uses Burgess instead.

Loving the commentator chat about us playing two teenagers regularly. Critical of the Australian clubs for not having teenagers playing.

Yeah great to hear Speed & Zelic praising Nix's young brigade esp Cacace. Fenton also a strong game so far.

Real quality half from the Nix. I still had my doubts but they are the real deal, for a playoff push and more.

However looked to be tiring bit late in 1st half. Some fluids and leg massages at HT, and an early 2nd half goal would give them a lift.

Subs will play a big part.

Keep this up rest of the season, and I feel will be a lot of goodwill from other clubs & Aussie public for Nix to stay in the league.

Apparently an article in today's Herald Sun paper in Melbourne, about Nix's future. Behind a paywall.

Maybe someone in Victoria for this game, can drop in a photo of the article here.

The English one redirects to BT Sport which worked fine until halftime and is now hanging as kids in my neignbourhood are all hogging the bandwidth with their social lives.

Ref has been good so far.

he's making up for it this half, 12 fouls each thus far all very similar and yet the nix have 3 yellows to 1 for the victory.

Excellent, yellow card for little shark broxham

I don't think it's fair on referees to judge them on the basis of whether number of fouls is proportionate between the teams to number of cards. Not all fouls are equal.

my money's on Rufer getting a red,but would love it to be Broxham!

Williams shows why he is a good striker. Phoenix leads by 1:0 in 60th minute.  Victory nearly equalise through Kosta.

not really judging it on numbers, more the number of same type of fouls. Several very similar fouls by victory go uncalled or no cards but we get called and yellowed. It's pretty obvious, especially when the commentary team are notiving it.

Yellow for Doyle stopping Kosta in his tracks. Dangerous free kick. Ref correctly calls for foul on Rufer by Broxham and we get a free kick.

Fufer looked lightweight the last few years, this season he seems like he has bulked up a lot and has a physical presence.

We're ahead and looking really good away to Victory, only a few weeks after thrashing Sydney in their back yard. Only fifth in the league though, should be higher given how good we are. Sack Rudan.

Agreed, unlike last week I think we have earned all our cards, and the reason it’s lopsided is on us.
