A bit of a billiard game in the goalmouth and Kurto saves.

Toivonen equalises for 1 all, out of nothing much really.

Crap - so hoping we were going to hold on to that

Toivonen dives and the ref falls for it!

Another dangerous free kick to MVU but Toivonen skies it above the bar.

Brilliant attack by Kosta but Kurto saves.

Eighty minutes gone.

Victory finally playing with some urgency. Ten minutes to go. Time for Burns to come on!

had a feeling that burns would repace Krishna for a moment there.

Another free kick to MVU in a dangerous spot. Nothing from that, but nearly a goal from Kosta a minute later, over the bar though.

Kopczynski saves a certain goal with an excellent intervention.  Victory is putting us under the pump. Lowry to replace Fenton to reinforce the right hand side. A minute to go.  And a save from Kurto.

Final whistle. One all. Rudan is the most hated man in Melbourne tonight.  FFA working on new special set of metrics just for us, since playing good football and having a financially stable club is not enough for us.

Kosta sounds like quite a munta. As usual terrible at finishing any chances and no composure, glad we don't have him anymore.

Stoked for that draw.

Picked a 1 nil win to Victory in #YFtipping and history in Melbourne... but actually slightly disappointed in the result... thought we should have one that... damn the Rudalution giving me hope

Great effort from the team. Deserved 3 points if anything but draw away in Melbourne is always a good effort.

We’ll take that point thanks.

well, Williams came up with goal, but burns was certainly not on fire as a sub!

Happy with that result,  although when we were 1 up I so wanted us to hold on.  Would have taken a point if offered at the start

Burnsie's job for the last 10 minutes was to draw the defenders away from Krishna, Singh and anybody else with enough legs to be still running.

Great game, great end to end stuff, a point apiece was probably a fair result in the end though.

Probably the most pleasing aspect for mine, was taking the game to Melbourne, in Melbourne, and Williams goal was a cracker, just a shame we couldn't keep them out and nab a win. Excellent stuff.

I thought we were great. All of them. We'll, maybe not Burns.

I am glad we did not lose against this good team - full stop.

Luckily both Honda and Niedermeier were not on the park tonight, especially with Honda in full form it could have easily been a 2:1 or something.

Obviously a point we all would've taken beforehand, but at the same time we shouldn't be giving away sloppy goals like that, regardless of the opponent. A win here would've been massive. Those sorts of moments can have a big difference on where we finish this season, and there's no reason why we shouldn't be aiming high based on our last month or so.

Very happy to see us show again we're right up there in our quality with the top teams in the league. And yea, them at full strength would be tougher.

Well deserved point on the road against the current champions. Impressive to see us getting consistent points in away games this year. Thats the sort of thing that makes the difference to make the play offs.

Back at AAMI park in 3 weeks to give it another crack.

I would very happily taken a 1-1 before kick off.

I reckon our recent great form has a key change this season.

Successful football teams for me are built around their defensive screens. For example, no coincidence that Liverpool adding Van Dyke at centre back and Allison in goal and being unbeaten in the Premier League at this time of the year. It is the same for me for us. Kurto in goal, Taylor, Durante in his best Phoenix form IMHO and the three centre back system we are playing so us not only rock solid but also proving infectious as a confidence booster.

The front runners are winning the headlines and the plaudits and they deserve it, but it is the lads at the back that are the real difference this year compared to the past.. We are conceding now since turning the results around no more than a goal a game even if it was a goal today that could have and should have been avoided

Excellent to get a point against a good team.

I've been very critical of Durante, but props where it's due, this season he's really stepped up. I don't know whether that's because he's playing with a confident CB like Taylor, different coaching or because he's shed a few pounds (he looks great), but either way, it has been excellent to see.

Maybe some ref's here can shine some light on this:

With circa 10mins left in the game, we fouled MV outside the box, the ref gave them the advantage, they played a few passes around, took a reasonable shot which was blocked and then he brought play back.

I know it's a subjective rue, but I would've considered that they could have benefited from the play (if they had they scored), but he pulled it back and gave them a second oppertunity. Did that seem strange to anyone else?
