Can we just give up and default the rest of the season? All the nix are doing is fucking up my weekends.

The most frustrating thing is we aren't even playing *that* bad - we just aren't quite there and keep giving away stupid fouls.

Thought Riera was horrid tonight - Brockie too. Both shouldn't be playing for us. Riera is so bad that Lia doesn't actually stand out as a poor player anymore. On at least 4 occasions he gave away the ball in our half leading to a Brisbane attack. Can't pass, can't tackle without fouling, can't head - what's he there for?

I admit I'm quite surprised that Riera is so highly thought of. Didn't think he was that bad in the game but, yes, I also noticed those really poor passes under no pressure when we had a lot of men forward, meaning we escaped a breakaway goal by the skin of our teeth.

For me he's definitely not a step up on either Sanchez or Alex Smith. At least Smith was good in the air. For me a very questionable import signing.

If Lia played like that, the whole forum would've been scapegoating him. Is the way this place works.

Riera's main jobs = screening the back 4 and passing out accurately. He didn't do either.

Not really in a scapegoating frame of mind but there was very little positive you could take out of that game. You can talk about playing a decent passing game, building for the future etc etc till you are blue in the face but in the end it was yet another game we lost that we shouldn't have. The team lacks balance, the defending is poor, key players aren't performing. It's very, very dispiriting to see when you care about this club so much.

Just back from the match. Missed chances the key. Great effort from the lads today. Deserved a point today. Voice gone Ernie Merics Yellow Army chant went in excess of 17 minutes.

The defense was poor. Siggy cost us the first goal and Manny got skinned for the second.

FFS that was shit! we owned them for a massive part of the game and then to conceed two of the softest goals ever! Siggy should be very ashamed as should Brockie for each of their errors. YF should take a bow 17 minutes of the same chant was epic! Give the man who lead that a beer or three!

As well as we played at times I don't think we deserved a point. Defense not good enough.

Back from game as well..disillusioned.  Would rather p[lay ugly and win.  Heysegems and Reira my MOM..just to be provocative!.  Reira wa way better than Lia..and played well.  Sure he missesd few passes but he was qiute creative and operated well in front of back 4.  Brockie..well...dont let him play pre season again..or let him play but permanently.  Kenny dived..and Brisbane guy fell over.  Ref crap

Fenton our best, Stein also good. Officials were abysmal, Brockie was garbage. Thought the crowd looked a lot bigger than 6.3k more like 8ish...

Watching on tv both didn't seem to have a good game to me, particularly Fenton.

I  though Phoenix were pretty dire today, And for that matter, I wasn't impressed with Brisbane - the team they brought here 2 years ago played a lot better.

We had enough chances to win though, Huysegems and Brockie wasted two that should have been goals, and Ifill pulled one wide late on.

I'm more concerned about the way we play, when we have the ball it doesn't really look like the opposition are worried at all. Moss was hoofing the ball forward again and we were fighting for scraps. There wasnt a lot of short sharp passing to open teams up. Very frustrating to watch this stuff. Might was well start Ifill, we at least look like we might do something when he's on.

Interesting - live I thought he made a lot of tackles, passed and moved well, and generally didn't do much wrong. Stein did a lot of good work but faded out in the second half. Lots of people bagging Reira but I thought all our mids looked alright - just poor finishing and a lack of willingness to shoot on sight cost us. Oh and defensive lapses of course.

Stein and Fenton were very good. Thought Riera was solid as well. Cunningham also.

Brockie...beyond "meh." Don't even know where to begin with his performances as of late. Not only is he not scoring goals, but he isn't making any sort of impact at all on the field. Might as well be invisible.

This.
Didn't have high expectations going in to the game, but very disappointed that we couldn't convert the many chances we had.
Regardless of the muppet in red, we lost the game (i.e. Roar didn't win it).  Thought that all the players put in a good shift (but for the lack of finishing).

Take a bow YF.....that was F**ken awesome!  loved the way the rest of the crowd faded in an out with the clapping in support too!.

Hard to believe we didn't get a least a point out of that. Look at the table now...Roar are 8 points clear at the top we are near bottom. Yet we had them rattled and looking very ordinary for large parts of that game......but all we get to show is a penalty won by Academy award winner Kenny. We are doing enough to win these games....we can't ferkin score. Brockie's touch is as bad as his haircut. Without the wonder goals he does not contribute.....time for the bench I think.

Loads of passes going astray by both sides. Riera and Carlos had a couple of shockers. Still think Riera was very good in front of the back four. Screened well and passed really well at times. Kenny had a busy first half...there was contact for the penalty but the dive was a beauty!

Football is a bitch!  We dominate for the first 35 minutes, butcher a couple of goals....then they score from a lob to the back post that comes off the players knee. We then pound their goal rest of the game and can't score and their winger hits a wonder goal....match over!

Wonder goal but poor defending by Muscat- the guy just skipped past him.

Quite a lot to enjoy, including that chant.

Did Sig not get a shunt in the back for their first goal?  And was there not a blatant handball just outside the box with us hard on attack that allowed them to transition quickly and help set up their second?

Fenton improved, fewer errors and some good stuff getting forward.  Stein tidy again.  I don't get the Riera bagging, thought he had a pretty good game distributing and breaking up play - and got in a heck of a lot of work, on the ball much more than Vinnie; sure he's no star import, but he's doing a decent job.  Kenny had a more influential game I thought, which was good to see, and seemed to be combining a bit better.

The guys must be gutted.

Brockie was more than a waste of space. That miss of his potentially cost us the game, after that miss when they scored it took a lot out of us. The morale certainly took a hit and that is when our good football we played at the start died.

Look we've seen now what this group of players is capable of, we're not getting any real improvement in performances or results, so it's time to start looking towards bringing some new players in.  They're trying hard but there's just a lack of quality across the park right now.

On that second goal I don't think he struck that well enough to deserve to score from where he did, I thought Moss looked pretty leaden footed on both goals

Didn't see the game I admit, but it is strange coming on here in anticipation to find the result only to see everyone applauding themselves and the team. We lost right and are now bottom right? I really hope I see something magic when I watch the replay

We missed a few good chances but it wasn't a dominating performance.  we were outpassed about 400-250.  We still look a bit ragged and imprecise in attack.  It was much like the rest of the season really we, looked ok, but really no more than that and struggled to put together attacking moves.  Same as most weeks to be honest, we lack quality so when it comes to the tight moments better teams' better players step up and score and we don't

be interested to know the shot count for both teams

either I'm getting used to losing or the 'extended desperation mix' of EM's YA had me so lacking in oxygen that my brain couldn't register misery

not sure if the ref knew what the things that stick out of humans' shoulders with the five wiggly things at the ends are called - either that or he hasn't read law 12

It was a performance like every other week: a few good chances, not good enough, ultimately lose.

His penalty save got me truly excited for probably the first time this season. For one deluded moment I thought our luck had changed, we would go on to win and our season would be on its way. Idiot.
