Roly being deeper really works for us. On the ball earlier in more space really is helping his creativity. And he doesn't mind a tackle. Lia is breaking up play very well

The usual Nix frustration. Really like some of the stuff we are playing, moving the ball around well, nice interplay but nothing to show for it. A brilliant goal has lifted WSW and now they look far more likely to kill the game off with a 2nd. Best half of footy I've seen from Finkler. Massive save by Mossy to keep us in it.

It's been the defensive trend of the last 10 years or so to not have someone there, so it's not really junior stuff, as the players are likely doing as instructed.  I don't understand it myself - I think the theory is you prevent more goals by having the extra man in the area to prevent the shot to start with, but I just don't buy it.
