Given how much of an eyesore that kit is, isn't a good thing that they aren't unleashing it on Wellington and instead giving it to Auckland to "enjoy" instead?

I actually dont mind the shirt (even though the Huawei logo covers WELLINGTON), I'd buy one if I the I had a spare $120. Just a shame they couldn't wait another two weeks so that the few people that turn up on New Years Day could have seen them in it first.

Another indication of where the club wants to head!

Yeah but it's miles away and not easy to get to.

Looks like we'll just go to the closes bar - Oak Tavern in Penrose. Just trying to confirm whether they have any christmas functions to rule them out.

The Oaks is a bit of a dive.  Did you try union post or doolans brothers in Ellerslie?  Some might have Christmas functions as well I guess.

As previously stated, I hope that there is a good crowd for this game.

Could I ask the Auckland based supporters how much advertising & promotion they are seeing around town (I have seen mentioned by Doloras that there are billboards around town), is there any radio advertising/promos, etc.?

None, and I use public transport a lot, and also spend time in town. Previous years I saw some on the buses, none this year.

Auckland Transport won't be putting on any special event transport for this weekend's game.

I hope I'm wrong in saying this, but I think that decision says a lot about how many people they're anticipating will be going :/

I have not seen any advertising anywhere.

Pretty sure one side of the ground was closed when I tried to book tickets (the west stand)

On the trains they are pretty regular on the main line (which Penrose is).

There are actually two stations at Penrose - one on the main line and one on the onehunga line which breaks off just before the main station.

Trains on the Onehunga line are much less often than the main line so tip here would be make sure on your way to the game from Town don't wait for an Onehunga train just take any train that says South from Britomart.

And on the way back if your heading North - don't wait for an Onehunga line train - just walk that little bit further and get the next train north on the main line.

Am i right to go back to Britomart I get the train on platform 3 at 21:52.

A likely return for Doyle makes it just a "McGlinchey in for Finkler' way from the best possible XI...

Online lambasting of any player representing the club you claim to support is self-defeating, childish and says more about the 'fan' than the player.

Yours faithfully,

Surely none of the above comments can be counted as lambasting a player? Talking about putting a player on the bench because of form is surely what fans do.

Mindless bashing of players like Lia and A-Rod despite what they do is one thing but if we can't discuss who should go to the bench when a player returns from injury then what are we going to talk about? Auckland public transport?

It crazy how close we are to the top six, we have still one game in hand and still burned through a coach.

I am not sure the question is how close we are to the top six.

Personally I think the real problem is how far away we are from the top four.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days
