I'm paying a bill to Sky TV to watch this

I'd be sending them an invoice for your dedicated viewing work.

After this, am cancelling my Foxtel sub. Is not worth it just to watch this dross every week anymore.

A bit of head spinning projectile vomiting would at least bring bit of excitement to our team

Nah. They wouldn't be able to achieve all those manoveurs.

Maybe the introduction of H Watson will change your mind

Singh should've come on for Vidosic. He looks classy, even stuck out on the wing.

At #10. wasted out wide.

considering we've got Rufer, Ridenton and Parkhouse starting and Singh coming on, with Watson on the bench. And coming on now. I think one, maybe two of those could play a part in a proper A league team.

Matty very close to a starter.

But if we want to have a good team I'd say we can only have one apprentice type player in the team

Commentators say good challenge by Watson. Gillet blows it up

May have been lowest standard of A League Football I have ever seen

I can handle losing but this is soul destroying.

oh nothing really.

Lazy high challenge from Castro. then a bit of a kick out the lower one.

Not bad from our defence TBH, apart from the goal but nothing in the midfield and on attacking theirs.

90 minutes of football. Shots on target. One.

The VAR was rather quiet this game compared to CCM vs WSW..

We had our chances but never took them,  both teams were equally shark. Parkhouse is much better on the left, they were all over AK9 in this game once Vidosic came off

Yep, their central defence didn't do much wrong. Ours did once.

Someone please explain why we started Parkhouse on the right side again. Makes no sense at all to me.Sydney next week, not expecting a big crowd for that one.

I was at work so have no idea of the match. Vickmeist won't even record them now when we are looking bad. She didn't even mention the match when I came home and her comments last night dried up in the 2nd half.

So what happened and what was wrong with us? Who played well and who badly? Tactics did they work or not?

Any glimmer of hope?

Dear Esoteric Magazine,

Both sides were appalling. It was a genuine Barry Crocker. Aimless careless brainless passing and off the ball running. Perth were not any better in that regard.

Yours sincerely,

A Concerned Fan

No. I expect nothing. Happy with draws. Will enjoy every win like it could be the last.

With my faulty maths to get into the top 6 (really low bar here) you need about 36 points after 27 games.

We have 6 after 10.

So just another 30 points from 17 games.

Thats 10 wins from 17 games if we got no draws.

Can anyone give me realist hope of a 6th position after 27 games please!

Nothing is changing, no progress, opposite, we are going backwards, the first few games we played some refreshing football now we just play boring stuff. This season is another write off. I guess they have to train and work hard for some highlight matches and do their best to justify new contracts next season. Good players move on average players try to stay because nobody want's them. Vicious cycle.

Yeah, I'm so confused and deeply disappointed at what is happening. the first three rounds we were playing a really nice style of football, and even though the results weren't going our way it looked promising. Now we are playing shark football, and after only 10 games our season is already on life support. One win in ten, 5k crowds, playing rubbish football. We're getting dangerously close to being the NZ Knights 2.0
Annual finals disappointment enthusiast.

We defended really well in the first half. Good pressing of the ball by everyone which resulted us getting the ball high up the pitch. Unfortunately we didn't maintain that in the second half and our high line meant Perth were able to get in behind.

Offensively we weren't up to much. Only one shot on goal in the entire match. Parkhouse and Ridenton were playing as inverted wingers/wide midfielders and didn't offer much.

Hope is that we have our creative attacking players back in Krishna, McGlinchey and Vidosic. That plus our improved defence in the last two games might lead to better results ... except not next week as we're up against Sydney.
