The Long Distance Derby: will Roy recover in time? Will Dura recover in time? Will anyone be awake to watch it?

Technically this is on a Sunday if it kicks off at midnight! Did what we do for midnight screenings at work (cinema), changed the time to 12:01am (although even then people still manage to arrive on the wrong day)

I hope they are spending a lot of time in Perth before the game. I can barely function just sitting on the couch watching football if it is after midnight, let alone being expected to play for 90 minutes. Though it's not like the second half performances could get any worse...

They didn't come back to NZ after the Roar game so should travel ok

They do things differently from the Warriors then, who persist on flying in only a couple of days before, and then wonder why they've never won there.

Spain '82 is where it all really began for me. There were a few moments before, plenty of moments after, but that World Cup was the zeitgeist.

The Nix did that last season under Ernie, more than once, going from Sydney to CCM (if I recall), with no improvement.

Let's not give the Glory management any ideas, they may kick off at midnight Perth time as the only way to keep Roy & Co from scoring.

Yes, the FFA introduced midnight football to Perth some time ago, so east coast Australian tv audiences could watch the Western Australians run round in the middle of the night, and NZ'ers could run around not even knowing what day of the week it was

Will also allow for the Barmy Army watch someone who isnt an English cricketer headbutt something

I find it hard to get excited about this one, mainly because midnight is just too late for me and I usually struggle to find full replays online the next day.

Might just have to catch the highlights when I wake up the next day.

Bit of a kick in the pants, but at least its no Krishna for Perth as opposed to Sydney next week. I'd like to see a starting team of Italiano, Galloway, Mullen, Rossi, Doyle; Ridenton, Paracki, Rufer; Parkhouse, Kaludjerovic, Vidosic. Would like to see Singh come on though and get a good amount of minutes

Hard to believe. Come on mods get a grip!

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Would be nice because we will be missing Krishna's normal goal against Glory away (5 goals in 5 games in Perth)

That wondrous penalty sums up our season so far.

Huge buildup with a fancy ceremony beforehand, steady run up, then bam we're rolling on the path to disappointment
