We could be the Coach killers of the league! Mulvey could be up next if we really smash the Mariners!

We're doing well at least in one kind of metrics.   FFA, are you listening?

I get up at 5:30am but thought feck it ill watch the match. Glad I did.

Quick thoughts.

- I could tell from the first 20 mins we were ginna score. We were knocking on their door and it just seemed inevitable. We limited WSW to pop shots, probably helped they were being selfish too.

- The most dangerous time for your opponent to score is after youve scored. I think this was the case with WSW goals, even though the second was off a corner.

- At 2-2 i was thinking okay draw but what a fight from the players to keep taking the lead.

- Sheridans impact was obvious. Of course the assist and his little flick on for Krishnas second. Good to see someone getting a decent head on the goal kicks too.

- I think we played well, I think Kurto had a good game depite conceding, the attacking intent was there in this game. Defence a little bit "oh shark" for some moments but job done.

Looking forward to welcoming the lads back home this Saturday. Cant wait for that game.

Lets all just remember to keep grounded and focused. No anxiety about the Nix of old and no unrealistic expectations. Keep grounded and just win the next game.

Added note how great was it seeing Rudan still out in the pouring rain and the WSW coach sat down for most the game looking sheepish.

Come on Phoenix!!

Dunno about MOM, but Rufer should get an Oscar for special effects

Roy got 3 points in the MVP, Louis a well deserved 2.

I am sure it was posted earlier but WSW have not had a win when playing under that ref.

First time Nix has beaten WSW since Feb 16 and that win also ties our longest undefeated streak of seven games. Currently 4 wins and 3 draws!

Is this our first win over WSW without Powell having to score all goals?

That was our sixth win against WSW. One win in 2012/13, one win in 2013/14, two in 2014/15 and our last the 5-2 win with Powell's four goals in 2015/16

How many away from home?

Three a piece. Dec-12 was 1-0 at home, Jan-14 was 3-1 away, Nov and Dec-14 was 1-0 wins at home and then Feb-16 was the 5-2 away.

It was one of those games where it could have ended up like against Victory or Adelaide, a draw without feeling robbed.

Against the Mariners, it would be good to examine how we could improve our midfield.

We might have won the game against WSW but our midfield frailty was exposed.  Mandi was missing, Rufer did not seem to communicate well with Kopczynski, and Nicholls did not play long enough for me to have an opinion.

Without Sheridan we lose that game tbh. We needed something different up top.

It’s been a while, but it’s been building. I am EXCITED about the Nix again. Rudan has instilled steel with his approach and signings. Cilly The Sherifff Sheridan has already shown the potential to be a Nix legend. Must start next week.

It's great seeing a Nix team scoring such nicely crafted goals. The lead up play to all three tonight was very tidy and even though Janjetovic was to blame for our second the finish from Roy was just outstanding.

Outstanding performance. We've got spirit in abundance, a bit of niggle about us and we've stopped being nice guys. Our players look like they care. We are a club reborn.

I don't think it was necessarily a great performance, the game was very stop start and I was almost thankful for that because I thought the pacy Wanderers might have overrun us for while there if the game was more open and free flowing.

But the resilience of the team to come back and score again and again and steal that away win and those points was really something, Rudan really has done wonders and transformed the mentality of our team. Really good to see, really exciting stuff!

It's been a long time since I heard someone described Fenton's performance as muscular, but Dom Bossi's report is here:

"Played into the box by a clever Sapreet Singh ball, Louis Fenton muscled his way past Wanderers' Tarek Elrich to break the deadlock with a composed finish in the 37th minute"

He's clearly worked on his upper body strength, most likely to support the troubled shoulders. He's actually a bit of a beast. Great to see him playing to his potential.

At last the team seems to have rediscovered  that fighting spirit that the FANS have been showing for some time now.

And could the timing not be better, as the weakest team in the league come to down.

No major injuries after 12 games.

Rudan may not only end up being the Nix's best coach, but the jammiest.

Should look after their own backyard first.

Despite some tough seasons, we've never been as woeful as CCM currently are, brisbane are all over the show, WSW have lost their identity and Newcastle seem to be suffering a similar fate to what we experienced under Merrick after a stellar season. Probably only fans the flames that the Aussies are still butthurt after taking that Jordanian dick the other night too!

Long may the Aussie angst continue!

Maybe JP was saying he was meant to be the Nix head coach!

Crikey that was good (was at match)..

A lot to work on as some pretty ordinary moments, but to get up and win it again ... superb.

Aside: Like the look of Cillian Sheridan

The best thing about Shepard Sheridan so far, is that he looks like far more than your typical one dimensional target man type striker. The feint to get past his marker and the inch perfect through ball to Krishna showed why he's spent a bit of time out wide as well as up front.

Really is great to see the fight being shown and apparent depth being built. Is the last time we produced a last effort winner like that when Cunningham was still with us? I seem to remember a game at Tin where we were behind with a few mins to go and got up.

Sheridan looks like a very promising addition. Kopa seemed to go ok too alongside Rufer.

It'll be interesting to see if Rudan opts to rest Singh for CCM match, given he's on 4 yellows? Perhaps play Burgess from start instead? I'd have thought we probably don't want to be without Singh v Victory.
