Reira - sp? very good.

Did you count how many times he gave the ball away ? I counted 4

And did you count how many passes he made in mid?

Oh ok, let's not worry about when he passes straight to a red shirt. Carlos hasn't done that yet.

Reira - 29 out of 37 passes
Carlos - 26 out of 29 passes

I wonder how Kenny would go as an out-and-out winger now he's fully fit, rather than this wider centre mid who gets forward kinda position he's currently playing in

give him a go up front

Kenny has not been effective at all. I don't know why there has been so much love for him on here tonight.

Got to agree. 0 unsuccessful take ons from 6 attempts ... but at least he's working hard defensively.

Why the hate on Kenny? He's been backtracking well and making some vital tackles. And he's the only real pace we've got; compare the Heart's right flank who've been running through us all afternoon.

Thanks.  Proves my point.

We need Kenny buzzing around because the rest of the front line is as mobile as an elephant.

First half 19 shots and 4 on target...both teams...says it all

Brockie at least makes some good runs.

not really, your point was Carlos hadn't made any passes straight to a red shirt - he may not have but he has still put three passes astray from a lower base.

But Carlos HAS passed it to a red shirt. Three times?

Reira - T: 5 out of 11, I:2
Carlos - T: 0 out of 1, I:0
I think this shows they are clearly doing different roles - which was my point - comparing them is silly.

Good period of sustained pressure here.

So... this Kewell guy, he was supposed to be great, wasn't he?!?

Okay good on Kenny C for 'covering lots of ground and making lots of tackles' but thats not really what he's primarily in the team for.

As I type he creates something for the first time in this game.

Fuck this stupid game

Good play from us there.

Reira can play well and still be worse than Carlos who is clearly our best player. If you compare Reira to Lia....

in the role ernie has him playing I think primarily he is there for the above - and probably when we are in possession to stretch the game on the left flank (and not be offside like he was when i type this).

If I were a betting woman, I'd say "Siggy header".

anyone who dosn't rate Durante should watch that play - pure committment!

Pretty sure Kenny is an attacking midfielder come striker and that Ernie expects alot from him going forward. Occasionally he is less than a turnstile in defense so I really doubt he's been given a lot of defensive responsibilities

Painfully slow though.

Three for me, and two for them.

Anyone have the stats for how many tackles Riera has missed ?

"Not at his creative best"?!? Kewell has done precisely the square root of jack!

Agree with the first part of your statement - but having seen how we have set up in the last couple of weeks he is more playing as another centre mid alongside Reira and Lia out of possession and get's forward out of that role when we have the ball.
I'm not saying he is the bee's knees but he does seem to playing out of position to take advantage of his work rate possibly? (and maybe lack of output)
