Wow. If we get points out of the next game, I'll be prepared to say "Ernie's stuff is working, I'm happy to be proved wrong".

Still not convinced we can't do better than Carlos. He's good when he's focused and not winded, which if we're lucky is half the game.

Both keepers did well. Redmayne's defence let him down for the goal.

Really cool to see Stein and Carlos (and others, i'm assuming) with the Phoenix supporters. Good stuff guys, and let's keep it going!

Brockie running out of time to get his shit sorted, Fenton fine game at right back, Huysegems looked better with Brockie and Cunningham off the park - too many similar styled players? Hicks and Boyd brought energy and initiative to the game which had been sadly lacking.

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

Certainly the midfield seems to be fixed from our wobbles of last year. And that is with or without Carlos.
Despite some fine touches, Carlos is always going to be slow, and faster paced teams pile a lot of pressure on us.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Heart played a faster game than Sydney FC against us, and - correct me if I am wrong - I reckon we struggled more against Heart because of their pace.
