Classic Ernie.

I liked Gombau's comments re. during a game you are passionate, and want to win, and want to worry about protecting your players... but after the game you congratulate the other team for winning. This is football.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

What about Benny squeezing the ball between legs, what are the rules saying? I thought that was the next level of Siggy fighting spirit.

I've watch the highlights was a great hangover recovery tonic. Kept rewinding it to watch each goal over and over. 3mins highlights took twenty. Goosebumps

Brockies big kahunas to not give up and pass to Kenny for the 1st goals was class. Nice finish from a player good enough to start over the likes of Lia etc.

Pissants goal. WTF's with the non marking? Oh well.

Boyds 1st showed good vision by A Rod to see the Box's great run and get it to him asap. Great also for the Box weight the pass to Boyd who still had work to do but nailed it.

Boyds 2nd was... Oh yeah, take that you pissants

Boyd, Roly, A Rod, Roy, Kenny & Burns on the field, I'd like to see that.

                 Boyd Burns

Kenny                                      Roy

               Roly            A Rod

                     The Bus

                     The Wall

Will mean the journeymen miss out but better to win 5-2 than 1-0 and action would bring the crowds and may even make the owners some money for a change = more games in Wellington and an A League extension

that forum that I read seems mostly fairly tame! That is the most emotive comment there. It's very analytical and measured, not many in jokes going off...

In the last two games Gombau has come across as a right tosser, and I often have issues with Adelaide's simulation/cheap shots combo, but this is an impressive interview from him, and when he talks about the chairs he's trying not to say, errmmm...I was a tosser....

But with Ange out of the league, it is good to have Gombau there, and now with Gombau, Merrick, Popovic and Arnold there is definitely a good talent base of coaches keeping the league standards high.

Points of Note from me...

1) Does Manny add anything to our side anymore, he was constantly turned inside out and it's been happening time and time again this season. Does have Doyle there make us any weaker?

2) Surely Boyd will get a start of Brockie. Putting any 'issues' aside for Boyd, he must start ahead of a player who is leaving us in 2 games time. Both of Boyd's finishes were class, shows the value of playing in the reserve team and the confidence he gets from scoring.

3) I still wonder about the  value of Lia as well. He was almost directly responsible for their goal (again). Would Ridenton do any worse and although away against ADL I can see EM logic of playing Lia, i wonder whether his time has come.

4) We have a good squad. Our back ups to losing Krishna and Burns are two NZ Internationals and a Costa Rican international. You can argue about their impact at the international level, but they have played at that level -  5 times (TB), 13 (KC) and 45 (JB)

5) I wonder how popular Kenny is in the squad. After he scored his goal he ran around celebrating and then looked up and no-one was anywhere near him, and then the shot pulled back and you could see the players walking back to halfway and he ran after them, and one turned around belatedly to high-5 him.

6) We are bloody good to watch and i'm fizzing for my trip to WLG this weekend to watch the Nix live. Taking my 2 boys for the first time to the Ring of Fire to see us play the Roar.

I bet it was. How did you get that to work in the end? Curious because I am occasionally in circumstances where that would be amazingly useful.

I have a google nexus 5 with newest version of android and just clicked the hahasport link posted here managed to zoom in cancel the adds and then when I clicked play on video it took me to like a seperate page with just a video player and played flawlessly with no lag or poor picture quality no sound though but commentator in highlights seemed grating so no loss. Would have regretted heavily not watching that game.

I always seem to watch nix games somewhere interesting at new years. Last year it was on a laptop by a telecom phone booth hotspot sitting in my car in the far north, this year in a hotel in Vienna (last year we beat wanderers 3-1 as well). No excuse to miss games.

Great work Tyler!  A real testament to having the Wenix playing in the ASBP! He was sharp and in good scoring form!  Well done to NZF for allowing it to finally happen!

Always a big Sack Ricki man myself but give credit to him for bringing Boyd & Fenton in at young age. Surely that's helped them develop and helping us now.
