The official Doloras prediction: 1-1 draw. (Got the margin right against MH so I might as well keep going.)

We will have to play better than our last 2 outings to get anything from this match.
What is the latest on the various injury concerns?

Any idea if Shinji Ono will be back for WSW?  Regardless of making our lives harder if he does, he is excellent to watch. Not the fastest man on the field, but his vision is spectacular when it comes to distribution.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

WSW was without two or three of their top players away to Melbourne Victory last night, yet they made the Tards suffer till the last minute. If I am not wrong MV was at their full strength except for Archie?

They were full Strength  aside from SUPER MEATBALL SUB ARCHIE, but fluffed so many chances like we do on a weekly basis. Victory could of won, but so could of WSW, end to end stuff etc. etc. should be an exciting game again.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I haven't read a Grandadi prediction in a while, what do you see within the Crystal Ball?

We almost got them the last time. I predict a tor fest: Nix 3 WSW 2

Are forward-going stocks seem as thin as they ever have been! We don't seem to have anyone who can finish with any consistency

Who would we take now ? Coveney, Kwasnik, MacAllister. Caceres ? Who else have I forgotten?

Shinji Ono was injured for the 1Dec game at ROF. Last game over in Oz we burgled a point. Might not be so even if he plays this time.

The grand total of goals these gentlemen have scored for the Phoenix = 8 (in around 80 appearances). Maybe our attacking stocks aren't as bad as they seem right now.

All above were one-season wonders, mostly, and continue as journeymen elsewhere (Coveney excepted).

Bit of a stretch to call them wonders, but yep, they were all around for one season only. But then there's also been the likes of Royce Brownlie, George, Chen, Gao, Toto who we also had on the books. When you actually think about it, it's amazing how heavily reliant on Smeltz and Ifill we have been for goals in the club's history (last season excepted).

Top 8 Nix scorers: Iffy 33, Brown 23, Smeltz 21, Greenacre 19, Brockie 18, Huysegems 9, Bertos 8, Daniel 8.

I think the really interesting stat is the number of appearances it took them to score these goals:

Ifill 106 (33)

Brown 112 (23)

Smeltz 39 (21)

Greenacre 84 (19)

Brockie 34 (18)

Huysegems 35 (9)

A finisher like Smeltzy from our first two seasons could make such a big difference to this team.

Brockie has similar stats to Smeltz. Just need him to find his form from last season.

Fuck this stupid game

Brockie has always seemed like a very streaky scorer, not sure he will ever be a consistent one like Smeltz. He is getting better chances this season, so I'm sure he will come into a run of goals soon.

Anyone have any word on our injured or possibly injured players?

Fenton, Stein, Hernandez? Have I missed anyone?

Ridenton and Shermy flew over to join the squad. It was also reported that Fenton will stay with the squad and is a possibility to play against WSW.

Personally I am waiting for Hernandez to rise to the level of Tim Brown - the unsung hero of the art of a cheeky goal.

won't happen, cos the expectations on brown were very very low and the opposite is true of Carlos
