Willing to sell it really cheap please let me know if you know anyone who would be interested. Cheers.

You can come join the CHCH Nix Supporters Club!

This would be your Facebook page I take?

You meet at Spectators Bar, Addington Raceway, Jack Hinton Drive, Addington I see.

I live in Christchurch but my elderly parents are big Phoenix fans so I usually watch games at their place over some Indian takeaways.

Well.... you could bring them ONCE to the Spectators (no Indian food, but their pizzas are surprisingly excellent, especially the margherita);

OR: we could just ONCE cram into your parents' lounge on a game day, with some Indian takeaways, beer and our famous best manners.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

where and when is the pre-match?

There's three:

1. is at the Basin Reserve

2. is at Bethel Woods on The Terrace (opens at 2pm)

3. is at the Back Bencher, home of the Yellow Fever on game day. Usually from about 2 1/2 hours before kick off.

Let me know if google dosn't explain where any of those are.

Good luck for your trip NHPeter. I'm leaving EBOP at 6am. I know the traffic is going to be bad, but hopefully it flows for us out of towners.

Be warned, get to Otaki before 1pm or your stuffed. That bloody roundabout causes more bottlenecks and traffic jams than anywhere else.

Or, you could avoid Otaki all together and go SH2 all the way via Gisborne, Napier, Masterton, Featherston, Upper Hutt... longer, but avoids Bulls, Sansom, Otaki etc.

I was looking at http://www.ultimatealeague.com/standings.php and a 2 - 0 (or better) win to us would result in some startling things:

We'd go second for starters.

We'd be the league's leading scorers as well.

And have the best goal difference.

And, currently we've conceeded 14 goals (as have Victory).

Only Perth 13, and Adelaide 13 have a better defensive record than that

Us.

Crikey!

come down via rotovegas, taupo, across to napier and down over the Rimutakas. Easier than the gorge at Opotiki and of course the napier wairoa drag. About 7 hours travel.

How does a season ticket member get the Free Kids Ticket, I just rang

Edited : argh, I think that was the Ticketmaster number for the Auckland game!

So I rang Phoenix hotline 04 3842457 instead and that is closed as well!

So I rang ticketek 0800 TICKETEK (842538) and they say it has to be done at the ground tomorrow

The Season Ticket Benefits FAQs state you can buy them online with discount or at a Ticketek outlet (Michael Fowler outlet might be open today)

As a Season Ticket holder, how do I purchase match day tickets at the 20% discount?

When the individual match tickets go on sale in September, Season ticket holders can either call the Phoenix booking line on 04 384 2457, or go into a Ticketek outlet to purchase. You will need to quote your membership number. If you would like to purchase online, you will need to use your membership number as your password.

That doesn't state how to get the free kids tickets we are entitled to though.

True!  I mis-read the comment thought it was about getting discounted adult tickets
Altho' MF or Railway New World  outlets might be able to help

I tried to get kids tickets online but no option and website told me I had to get at the gate or in person at ticketek branch.  The lineup at railway metro is going to be dire.  This could have been done so much easier if you could 'buy' them online.

Went to buy tickets today. Station Ticketek was closed along with New World Metro. Went to Michael Fowler Centre to purchase tickets only to get to the counter to realise wallet was left at home (idiot). The people at MFC said they would be open 10am-4pm tomorrow to purchase tickets. Unsure if the Station Ticketek will be open tomorrow for ticket purchases

I posted this in the Crowds forum earlier

Edit: Would probably be best to call Ticketek to see what branches are open

if you really need to avoid Otaki and south, I'd branch off SH1 to Fielding (missing out Sanson and Palmy) and either nip thru the Manawatu George to Woodville and south via Wairarapa or do the same via the Pahiatua Track near Massey University.

before otaki (about 10 15 minutes on left) is a road called south manakau road it takes you past all the traffic and you come out at the otaki roundabout and push yourself in any gap there and bobs your uncle .

That roundabout has caused more problems than any other stretch along the highway. Why dont they just put in a bypass that lets you avoid Levin and Otaki. Say, start at Waikanae and come out south of Foxton. They could do the same with the bypass north of Masterton and have it come out at the base of the Rimutakas.

Obviously you are not a fan of small town New Zealand mate? Way to kill off 100s of small businesses and destroy the livelihoods of families up and down state highway 1 and 2.

Not saying as a traveller I would not be a fan, but there's another side to the cost of such convenience and safety improvement. Look at towns like Pokeno...

err no, you will note the bypass at Napier has not killed off Napier or Hastings. The bypass at the back of Taupo is another good one.

I asked shane harmon how many ticket offices would be open, given walk ups will probably all arrive at 4:30pm. His reply "all of them". Priceless.

They guy at Ticketek said there had been 'issues' trying to get Agents to print just a 'free' ticket for season ticket holders. He advised going to the stadium.

The next problem is no trains on kapiti line - they are certainly not making it easy for me to get to the game with a load of kids.

Does the bus stop at every blooming station along the way - I shall be leaving at 2pm at this rate.

Otaki bypass is coming; construction is 2016, so completion 5 yrs away. It will start north of Otaki and bypass the town but with convenient on/off ramps for the retail strip and petrol. Forms 2nd section of Kapiti Expressway which joins to Transmission Gully at QE Park. Journey time Otaki to Wellington estimated 1hr, but trip reliability is really the main benefit.

Haven't looked forward to a game as much as I am looking forward to today's for a long time.

Will need to apply full field press from the start to stop Brisbane settling into their rhythm and someone will need to do a number on Henrique.

Com'on lads - just fricken do it.

P.S. Brockie to score in his finale.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)
