yeah, cos we all remember who scored the 1000th, 2000th and 3000th, like anyone gives a toss.

1000th - Carlos Hernandez

2000th  - Oli Bozanic

3000th - Sasa Ognenovski

If anyone was wondering.

4000th - Own Goal: Marc Warren

A lot of talk about how lazy Finkler is on D... i think this is a little harsh, especially the Hernandez comparisons. Finkler could do more, but certainly does help with the press. If he dropped any further back we'd just congest the middle too much and have no quick release or chance for a counter.

My comparison with Carlos wasn't meant to imply he is lazy, just that he is slow, not a greater tackler, marker or interceptor, and consequently really only able to play as a CAM. He does do some defensive work but you wouldn't put him in a box-to-box type of role. If we had better options at DM that might not be an issue but as it is it seems like we don't have the players capable of covering the space in the middle of the park if our midfield is Finkler + 2 others

I think that means we could see both WeeMac and A-Rod back into the line up

He's still injured I think. Far out, someone had better have a blinder, e.g. Roly or Kosta. Ridenton to start?

So no Lia or Finkler, nor WeeMac who's still injured. Will be an opportunity for the fringe players and young midfielders to prove their worth. Does t seem like the easiest conditions due to temperature and kick off time for them though

Frick, thought he was back. Probably see Parkhouse playing in the mid again then

Looks like we won't have to worry about the weather. Todays high is 26 and at KO will be 23.

Hmm, an 11pm kickoff tonight...I for one won't be staying up to watch this game, given our last effort against Adelaide.

I'll record this game and watch it on Friday. (Bonus being if we do well - lets see that goal again!, if we do poorly- fast forward and save my time) Hopefully, Shane will be the difference and gets the opportunity to go Shhhhh! twice...

With Finkler out expect Roly to have a blinder. I actually think he will enjoy having a midfield partner who is a bit faster and makes more off the ball movement. Prediction: Roly throughball to Smeltz in 83rd minute to seal a 3-1 win.

5 x kiwis

2 x australians

1 x fijian

1 x dutchie

1 x Spaniard

1 x Italian

a recipe for success?

We are wearing the grey kit, what have our results been like in that shirt?

Hope Agent 99 gets on that score sheet tonight

Very positive indeed, feel sorry for Watson, but hopefully he can come on when smeltz tires and steal us the win late.

Only 2 Aussies.

Any of the stattos out there know the fewest number of Aussies fielded by an A-League team? (Don't let Boz read this)

I know, I know, its serious!

Well depends on how you count them I guess-

could be 5 Aussies starting, with another 2 on the bench

Weak in the middle... Parkhouse naturally hangs forward and I assume that is what Roly has been told. Could be a very busy day for

A Rod.

That's a formidable foward line. On paper.

Curios why they haven't fired just yet.

to be fair we haven't had an attacking lineup like this all season. With krishna, smeltz and barbarouses up front I would be disappointed if we didn't score at least 2 tonight
