I thought he's been around a few days (+- 1 week?) so he shouldn't be jet lagged and as a professional footballer, you'd expect he is fit to go. I really hope we get to see him tomorrow!

If we acknowledge our defence is slightly suspect, but dont want to play a back 5, as id prefer us not to, then what about a 3-3-1-3 type set up.

Still provides the possibility of ample defensive cover if Ridenton Paraski & McGlinchey do the defensive work required , but provides more options up field than the 5-3-2.

                       GK

     Galloway   Rossi   Doyle

    Ridenton  Paraski   McGlinchey

                     Lithuian

     Krishna     AK       Burns

Um, so your solution to our bad defence is to play one centre back?

Personally I thought the tactics last week were poor to watch but, overall, actually worked quite well. Expect to see similar with perhaps the new midfielder in for Ridenton.

So confirmed Ljujic will be playing tomorrow night. Not sure if that means he's starting. Would like to see him and burns get maximum game time.

Would be a pretty big ask considering he only got off the plane a few days ago AFAIK?

Jet lagged new dude or Ridenton.... hmmmm.....

Fair point. Ridenton did some OK things last game, I thought, which was surprising (started poor though)

Set up a couple of clear cut chances that weren't converted.

If run properly 3-3-1-3 isnt 3 backs only.

Rossi centre back but Paraski would drop back in beside him during play if required which creates a back 4 if required

Yes sorry -Ljujic  is Serbian.

I think to make the most of the attacking talent we have a front of

                                 Ljujic

                Krishna     Ak        Burns

is pretty dynamic . Krishna and Burns need to be on the park at the same time .

Its what happens behind that 4 thats the issue. The 3-3 -1-3 provides more options for getting the ball forward and more options once it is forward.

Sounds like FIFA tactics to me; not going to work in the real world where we couldn't even defend with a proper back 5.

Pretty sure Durante will play, either with Rossi or Mullen. We have to play essentially 4-2-1-3 with mcglinchey sitting in the middle, ak and khrishna up front and Burns playing free wide role. That's my prediction anyway. Ridenton, Doyle and Galloway all start.

No matter how many times this club has burned me, I always tune in. Am I a masochist?

Not necessarily, probably just addicted to a substance of abuse (following your local team)

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Lately the only way Phoenix leaves me amped is this:

And that probably defines the meaning of "fan", as well.

Don't forget the conga line. Honestly one of the best memories from watching the nix since 07. Coincidentally, I believe it was against Melbourne Victory!

I hope the new guy has been registered properly and is eligible to play.

Last thing we need right now is one more off-the-field issue. Very likely I'll show up.

Does anyone know how much parking is in or around the stadium tonight?

With another game on the weekend, will we see some rotation come in. Rufer for Galloway at RB for example (played there off the bench earlier) etc.

Hopefully I can summon up enough enthusiasm to go on Saturday

Not so sure about that in some areas parking might be free but a 2 hour restriction still applies. Fortunately its not enforced normally on game days.

Going to be interesting to see what happens if the planned removal of free parking in weekends and after 6 comes into force as some on the bloody council want.

If you park in the area around Freedom furniture on Thorndon Quay its a 10 hour limit, just got to get there early as those spaces go quickly
