So we are back home against the Victory for a mid week game, since it is school holidays. Kids go free for the game (up to 4 go free per paying Adult. Child’s age is 15 years & under)

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

So with my Season Ticket in hand, I can just take my six year old through the turnstile or is that too simple for the stadium?

Yeah well, Micki is asking me what he did so wrong to deserve such a punishment and I told him a real punishment would be making him watch QPR. Although, the Nix at the moment, are not far behind.

What the hell did i do in a previous life so wrong that I ended up supporting both QPR & the Nix?? I must be paying pennance for something really bad.

Well, geographically you were pressured into following the Nix.

- you have a season ticket so it will cost you nowt

- there are beers on sale, $9 or $10 for a little plastic cup of said beers is a "Bargain"

- you expect the Phoenix to lose anyway, so it cant get worse than you expect

- its worth it to hear the moaning from the guy who sits in the disabled seats in aisle 25

Alternatively you could watch us lose 5-1 at home to City again. At least you know we will score.

Flying down from Auckland for the next couple of days, am dragging 3-5 lads to the game too. Strangely optimistic. Although it's heart-breaking I would rather support a fudgeing shark club than no club at all. Fire the fudge up, lets do our jobs in the Yellow Fever Zone even if the lads don't do their jobs on the field. Give us a D!!!

Have a mate from Melbourne bringing his wife and kids to watch the Victory. I think that'll boost the crowd to about 20 :). Hope we win.

If we acknowledge our defence is slightly suspect, but dont want to play a back 5, as id prefer us not to, then what about a 3-3-1-3 type set up.

Still provides the possibility of ample defensive cover if Ridenton Paraski & McGlinchey do the defensive work required , but provides more options up field than the 5-3-2.

If by the Lithuian you mean the Lithuanian, and if by the Lithuanian you mean the new Serbian Matija Lujic then it will be interesting if we see him. He's listed on the Phoenix  site but hasn't been announced yet AFAIK.

He has not been let go. He would be free to leave if he gets an offer elsewhere.

NB. this might not inspire him for tomorrow's game, but then again it actually might just do that.

So confirmed Ljujic will be playing tomorrow night. Not sure if that means he's starting. Would like to see him and burns get maximum game time.

Would be a pretty big ask considering he only got off the plane a few days ago AFAIK?
