2-2 still not a good result,  should have had that one in the bag,  more points dropped.  Disappointing result

Not a helluva good game..

Epic comeback from the lads, but something IS rotten in the state of Welnix. 2 points from 4 games, 1 point from 2 games from the bottom two sides. I am disappointed by the lack of a plan B, but elated for Jason Hicks. I hope he can get into the starting lineup so he can be our specialist place-kicked.

Really happy for Hicks, was a cracking goal but all it did was spare our blushes. Another vital two points lost against a team way down the table.

I mean of course place-kicker, but the two are not distinct the way the Jest and MCFC played.

thought Hicks was good for his cameo, passed well, turned well, had good vision. Got pushed off the ball a little easily, and I guess next time the wall will know to jump against him!

I wonder exactly who MERRICK has to let go, and whether it will make him do so even more when you yell his name like that. (Let me try it. JOHN KEY has to fire Stephen Joyce! .... *tumbleweeds*)

Personally I think Roly is really ending up being not the "too good for this league so let's tongue-bath him" package that some have said. A-Rod had a good one, though.

Hicks was excellent - I have always been a fan. He is the sort of player who is very useful to have in your squad. Never a first teamer but he can come off the bench and do a specific job for you. I would rather see him come on than Lia.

Well I wanted pizza but good on Burnsy for creating both goals.  Great free kick Hicksy.

I find it strange that Roly's form has dropped away so noticeably. Up to the break he was without doubt one of the standout players in the league. Since then he's been subbed off several times after fairly average games by his standards.

Only thing I can think of is that he is nursing an injury and they are keeping it quiet.

Or he's pissed off with Ernie, no longer wants to be here and is doing a KFCarlos-style work-to-rule?

I don't know what other people on here think but if Hicks could keep that up for 90mins he'd be my choice for starting CAM

All I can say is thank heavens we subbed off McGlinchey towards the end .

I had to go out and missed last 20 minutes as soon as I walked out we scored grrr. Anyone have highlights or lowlights of the game?

Interesting to hear that we still have a few bogan fans that booed the Jets player when he had a head injury and went off and a big minus to Durante who wanted the player to be removed from the pitch. I guess wee Mac was a different kettle of fish.

We were at sixes and sevens in front of goal but also had the crap kicked out of us (especially in the first half) which doesn't help.

The referee was poor and could have (should have) sent a couple more Jets off.

The FFA need to look at this if the league is to progress.

Having said that we should have buried them the amount of possession and chances we had.

although 9.8 times out of ten, the player's wasting time...

could have moved the half metre off the pitch. He had walked over there and made sure to sit down on the field of play.

And to sum up, just like last week, the referee's are allowing some very robust, very persistent fouls especially in midfield.  Hoole should have gone much earlier.   Was there a stonewaller bodycheck on krinsha not given????  A Rodderz had a gooood game.

Thoughts: - ridiculous number of fouls against us again. - McGlinchey very poor, lazy even. - final ball has to be better, so many chances. - superb goal from Hicks. - we really should have won

Oh and Burns had a good game but his miss early in the second half was unforgivable. Just had to tap it in but he tries a backheel?! That damn pizza flashed before my eyes!

How disrespectful is this. Burns has held the lead since the start of the league, but when a sydney player equals his tally he moves to 1st instead of 2nd

I must say it doesn't look good saying "waah waah them other teams are munting us over make them stop", considering the shenanigans that Siggie and Manny got up to back in the day. Ernie coached the Other Muscat, he knows better than this.

Of course Muscat's two footed jump tackle was lucky not to get a red.

Shocking tackle nut case

Permalink Permalink

Yet again another very disappointing result.Yes they tackled hard  and sometimes illegally but we arnt angels and im getting sick of the bitching about it.Fact is we are playing like crap and they have made it very hard for themselves .We have 8 games left 5 against teams in the top 5 and another against an improving Brisbane team.

Unless the guys wake up what was looking like a certain home semi will be gone.

So if and when the refs start sending players off for some of these tackles i hope none of you moan when we lose the odd player as well.
