Our system?  We are not scoring goals as we should be.

Nobody knows the system better than Ernie. Pretty sure Ernie wouldn't just sign someone for the sake of signing them, especially if they're allegedly a cod

Never say we are good, and never say we are bad. Simples. Easy forum kudos.

Even broken clocks are right at least once a day if they're digital and in 24hr format otherwise they are right twice!

So maybe Griffiths up top, then weeMac drops back to take A-Rod's spot?

Why would you drop last weeks MoM?

Fair point; not saying it would be the best idea - but if Ernie wants to mix it up, might be an option.

More likely Griffiths will come off the bench.

Agreed..we are desperate for goals and plan B so he must make bench surely.

We're creating chances. My point was that Krishna and Burns are proven goalscorers at this level in our system. Griffiths is a very different sort of player who has not been as prolific recently and is here to provide a different option, not as a straight swap (either as back-up or an upgrade) for what we already have.
You know we belong together...

Does anyone seriously think he will have clearance from FIFA  in time for him to get on a plane to Melbourne?

Apparently Delpierre likely back for this one. Thought he looked like potentially the best defender in the league before he got injured, so lets hope he sits this one out.

Victory away.....yikes

Actually its not our attack that worries me...its our defense. Our front guys are going to deliver sooner or later and the goals will come. I'm more concerned about our defense and how it copes with Costa, Finkler, Archie etc

I predict a Nix win 4-3...nows about the right time to break our jinx in Melbourne

We dont need a back line, we've got riera.

Inside word is that Griff will be available and will be on the bench.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Have we ever won in Melbourne against the Vuc? I can't remember a win. I remember a draw where Lia scored, that's about it.

We normally play a high line for some inexplicable reason and get done for pace. I swear that has happened about 3-4 times.

Trudging along to the game again - perhaps I'm the bad luck charm

Yeah, definitely beat the Heart. Was there that day. Stein scored, I believe.

Remember us sneaking a draw too.

That draw was the one with the bogus red card for Siggy if I recall, and Krishna's first goal for us too

That was the "Ben Williams Day", I remember it well. Failed to spot that Kisnorbo who was on the goalline stuck out his arm to stop a shot that was headed in, and then sent Siggy off for two yellow cards that were both questionable.

Funnily enough, I heard from a reputable source/wanker that Ben Williams almost missed out on the World Cup because of that performance.

The draw i recall was the 1-1 draw where we were missing our AWs and Spoonley played in goal. Ifill slotted a penalty after Colosimo got a straight red for handling on the line. Greenacre was stand in coach as well

Man, I'd blocked that Kisnorbo handball from my memory. Now my PTSD is coming flooding back...

Do I really remember watching a bore more than boring 0-0 draw at Victory.  Never get those 90 mins back.

I believe Fenton is out another week with concussion and Box will be starting again.

At least we got something from it. Most boring game ever was a 0-1 loss at ROF to Perth a couple seasons back. Was dire from both sides, absolutely sharkty weather, and they tucked one away in the last minute to make it one of the worst games ive ever watched.

Sunday is the time to win finally win over there. Won't be easy, but we deserved more the last games, time to catch up.

I dream of a last minute winning goal by Griff, because he want's to be loved by us.

We didn't deserve sharke the last time we played them in Melb. Remember being so pissed off after that game because we played well the week before and Merrick started Lia/changed formation.

Griff always scores against them so lets hope.

What if griffiths scores the winner? how do we react? our first win in Melbourne against the Victory, 1 over Kevin Muscat, yet Griffiths being the scorer? I might need some therapy to get over the confusions.

I would be over the moon. Who cares who scored the winner? Winning would be the main thing.
