Everyone from both sides, please gather in the center circle for the goalkeeper kick. How many times do we witness this every game??

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Damn, I'd love to play for a team good enough that they wanted the ball to feet or even throws, rather than demanding hoofball up the middle ;)

We'd have had you in a heartbeat in our women's prem team, Doloras.  Three great CBs and a dodgy keeper.  We might have cured you of your socialist ways while we were at it. ;)

lols

Silent supporter on that one.  But I never felt Moss had it in him, so I wasn't going to ask him to play that way.  Adrenaline's fine, repeat russian roulette, not so fine.

It like that it also runs their front three around more, and draws them forward creating more space in the mids.  So I like that Darije has made a distributing, confident-with-the-ball-at-his-feet goalie a priority.  It think it sets up your whole midfield better.

By next season when Keegan-Smith grows some more leg muscles (= for goalkicks) we'll be a better team with him.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days
